Hermione Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 lol.. I was like.. "what's on the last page of the chat forum" good to know...I don't hear it though but I have to admit....I don't have got Rockband You can download just the vocals from the songs if you want to listen to them. It's really interesting to hear the vocals without the music, and you can hear what he's saying . Here's Hitchin A Ride (plus some other songs): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2BHSP08H If you want to download the rest of the songs, they're here: http://www.greendaycommunity.org/Forum/index.php?showtopic=79209

Guest Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 sounds like Say happy birthday not say birthday boy, hey though O_O
PeaceMucker Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 From what I can hear he says "Hitchin' a ride, two, four, three, one, two!"
BillieJoe21st Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 At the end in Rock Band it says "Say, Birthday Boys, Hey"
FiaKels Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 IMHO, it doesn't really matter all that much. Billie says a lot of random shit for the purpose of being random shit.
!VivaLaGreenDay!23 Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 I always thought they werecsaying " don't know where you are" and then at the end Billie was saying "say 1,2,1,2....or something like that.??
mallorymaloney Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Wait, Mike's singing 'Going nowhere boy'?! WTF, dude! I thought he was singing, 'Off the wagon!' all these years! As for what Billie Joe sings at the very end of the song, I always just assumed it was 'One two three four five six' all slurred like.
Hermione Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Well it's not just from listening to the vocal track. When you sing on Rockband it does say the lyric is "say birthday boys, hey". I know there's a couple of minor mistakes in the lyrics on Rockband, but I think the fact it's written there AND listening to the track added together points to it being correct
FannyDefoe Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 what about the makers of Rockband didn't know also what he's mumbling there and they just put in SOMETHING
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I always thought he said "three one three one three"
Fuzz Posted September 14, 2010 Author Posted September 14, 2010 The birthday bit doesn't make sense to me, too random to throw in there. So until Billie himself says so, I won't believe it.
21st century idiot Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I always thought it was either :"say one day, one day" or "say one thing, one thing'
Jaymee!! Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I always thought he was just saying 'one two one two' in that retarded voice he does sometimes. Makes the most sense, since he counts 1234 throughout the song

Guest Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Isnt the lyrics in the Lyricbook with the CD ?
FannyDefoe Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 The birthday bit doesn't make sense to me, too random to throw in there. So until Billie himself says so, I won't believe it. agreed
Hermione Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 The birthday bit doesn't make sense to me, too random to throw in there. So until Billie himself says so, I won't believe it. Billie is the king of throwing random things in places and Billie himself says it at the end of the song . You can hear it so clearly on the vocal track. Anyone who hasn't listened to the vocals on their own yet: your opinion doesn't count . Dew it! http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2BHSP08H Having it in the Rockband lyrics AND being able to hear it clearly without the music is too much evidence to ignore
Micky Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 In Rock Band there's the birthday thing, but I remember an IC Q&A where a boy asked what Billie sings at the end because his band couldn't figure it out. And Billie answered something like "well, nothing. i just say uhohehoheh" or whatever. Something with no sense, anyway. But probably this has already been discussed in this thread and/or I'm wrong (which is most likely )
ANJI Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I always thought he sang "Take one for the roadtrip" but its different on GDRB...

In that Times Talk Q&A someone asked Billie what he said at the end of Reject and he answered exactly like that. Could that be what you're thinking of?

I don't know why I was sure it was Hitchin' a Ride though But thanks
Hermione Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Mmh, it's possible. I don't know why I was sure it was Hitchin' a Ride though But thanks Well I dunno lol, it just made me think of that. It could be a different interview. He definitely said that about Reject in the Times Talk Q&A though, I just checked
The Platypus! Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I think he said 'Take one take one take one' duno though maybe Rockband can help ?
xgirlcalledkillx Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 I'm listening to it right now.... It sounds like.... Well, I don't know what the fuck he said. It kind of sounded like "one two, one three, one three" ???
