Aw. Poor BJ is getting old. :(

maybe he was joking :)

I used to think he said "2, 1, 3, 1, 3."

But that was before I read cloud82's post.

I know what it says for a fact mike is saying "goin' no where" sometimes when billies talkin over him he switches it up a little and is saying "Goin' no where at all".

No. He's saying "Don't know where I'm going" while Billie says "Hitchin' a Ride" 7 times toward the end.

Is this thread seriously still going?

It's:

Mike: Don't know where I'm goin'

Billie: Say one three one three.

But besides, does does anyone even care if he says "two one three one" or "three five one two" or "seven eight hundred and ninety two"?

I know I don't.

billie joe says he dosent know what he said in the idiot club Q&A because he wants it to be a mystery but if anyone has good ears you will know what he says

I always thought Mike says "Don't know where to go, don't know where to go" repeatedly....., while Billie says Hitchin a Ride repeatedly, then finishes it of by saying " Hitchin a Ride, I said a one way one way". Like as if he's hitchin a one way ride. ( to the bar or liquar store, seeing he fell off the wagon and is lookin for some distilled spirits). It only makes sense.

When my band play it live, my bass player sings "Don't know where I'm going."

At the end of the song, I sing "Say One, Play One, Play."

I don't know what it means, but that is what I hear.

Later.

Billie says: '...Hitchin a Ride, I said a one way one way.' and after his words was just chord! that's it)

I think it is One Way, One Way like mentioned above. And the other person is right Billie Joe does answer this in the Idiot Club.

Posted

Well he says 'Say one, pay one, pay' quite clearly at the end of the Bullet in a Bible version, so i think that's what he says.

Well, we all know that Billie Joe keeps changing the lyrics

But I think he says "I said a one way, one way"

Posted

i always thought that Mike says "Don't know Where I'm Going" and i thought that Billie said "Say One Two, One Two"

Posted

Ok now I hear "two three four five three".

THE NUMBERS ARE OUT TO GET ME!!

i ususlly hear one two three four one two :o

Thats what he says in one version for sure.

He said in the idiot club when asked that exact question that he saying nothing. just a bunch of nothing.

maybe he was joking :)

Funny you bumped this thread...........we actually know the answer now!

When you sing on Green Day Rockband it says he says "Say birthday boy, hey". Someone on the forum took just the vocals from the Green Day Rockband songs, and when you listen to just the vocals of Hitchin A Ride you can hear that is indeed what he's saying :D. Mystery solved!

That can't be right.

That's what I thought. But dude, listen to just the vocals from Rockband. He's totally saying it!
