Whatsername1222 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I have never lost interest completely but that break between American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown was a time that I didn't listen to them as much. I started listening to lots of other bands and Green Day definitely took the back-seat. Now I listen to Green Day a whole lot more. I don't think I could ever lose all interest in them because they are one of the greatest bands in the world!
Holly Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I'm pretty certain I never will. I listen to them constantly and spend my entire time on here and watching videos of them or reading their articles and there is not even a tiny little part of me that gets bored of it.
greendaygal89 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 well in the 6 years iv loved GD i havent lost interest and i dont think i ever could
Rebel07 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I've never lost interest in them. I just keep gaining it lol. I really don't go a day without hearing at least a couple Green Day songs. If I ever get tired of an album, I got plenty more to listen to
kods (: Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I don't really lose interest. Sometimes I listen to them a little less than I usually do, but I'm always listening to at least one song a day. & if I do go through a period where I don't listen to them as much as I used to, sometimes I listen to a certain song and all the love comes flooding back, then I'm listening to every album every day.
Just Kate Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 no, i won't ever... they are my life, my breath, my blood thisss. everyday i feel the same, sometimes even more. but never less... it doesn't mean i want to be like them though, i don't. but their music runs in my blood. forever.
ihaveapenisbitch! Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 The more peopel I meet through them, the more times I go to see them and really after this summer my interest is right at the top. The memories and the times I've spent with people because of this band really keep everything alive. I don't think I'll ever lose interest in them.
Billie Kristy Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Recently I'm only gaining more interest in them. (: I just love these guys.
farley drexel hatcher Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I think the younger you are, the more likely you are to lose interest when you've had your fill of a band or when they go quiet. You move on to something else. But it doesn't happen so much when you get a bit older. I got into GD when I was about seventeen and i've never lost interest in them or any of the bands i've gotten into since, but hardly any of the bands I listened to when I was fourteen or fifteen, I still listen to.
ihaveapenisbitch! Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 OMG lolololol :woot: *facepalm* I need to stay off the fucking internet after work. I'm not fit for functioning agter a shift.
Just Kate Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 ^that's alright, i make same mistakes but my dictionary is showing me all my mistakes so i can correct them before i do my post :P which means we both suck
Rosie May Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 If I ever get tired of an album, I got plenty more to listen to I think that's why it's easy not to lose interest. If the only had one or two albums that were very similar, I would get bored alot quicker.
minorty13 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I think that's why it's easy not to lose interest. If the only had one or two albums that were very similar, I would get bored alot quicker. I agree. All of their albums are so different, too. So you if you get sick of angsty Green Day, you can listen to rock opera Green Day etc. Lately, I've had to completely stop listening to American Idiot though
NaturalxDisaster Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Mmm... NO :/ xD I think Green Day's a band that always was and will be interesting for me, and actually that's one of the reasons they're my favourite band. I love waiting for new CDs, because I know they always surprise me and they still being Green Day. There're other bands that I really like, but I cannot listen to them all the time
GreenDayisAmazing Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I'm not at all I'm more of a Green Day fan now then I ever have been!!!
Tom Higgs Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I temporaily lost my interest in Green Day 'cause I'd moved on to more extreme stuff like say, Cradle of Filth and Slayer. Just stuff that I'd never heard before. Y'know I just wanted to listen to something new. Of course that all changed when 21st Century Breakdown came out. But then having seen them at Wembley I can safely say I'm a fan for life!
BillieJoe'sBastard Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I've never really lost interest in them. There doesn't go a day where I haven't heard a Green Day song on my phone, iPod, Stereo or something. I listen to a lot of other bands, but I always end listening to Green Day in the end.
AfterShock Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I agree. All of their albums are so different, too. So you if you get sick of angsty Green Day, you can listen to rock opera Green Day etc. Lately, I've had to completely stop listening to American Idiot though Exactly this. There are times when I get a little less interested in Green Day, but once I find that one song that suits my mood it all gets back to normal. I haven't listened to Insomniac in forever though...
†...HAUSHINKA...† Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 not at the moment and I think it'll never happen 'cause they're more than a musical interest to me...
madddie Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I lost intrest for about a year from about summer 2007 to summer 2008 because I had just over heard everything SO much and it'd been ages since they released anything or I had seen them, but as soon as they announced recordings and stuff for the new album its just made me really excited and refreshed my love for them all over again.

Yep, this happened to so much people, I hope they won't keep us waiting too much for the next record!
madddie Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Yeah, there is only so much enthusiasm you can have for a band who hasn't done much for 5 years! Haha.
