ilovegd1991 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 fuck NO .i always keep finding songs to get addicted to all over again,
St. Guro Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 No, I think they always will be one of my favorites!Same
HeartxShaped Box Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Yes, actually.Green Day was my first obsession, so I overreacted a lot, because I'd never had a favorite band before.I still think they're cool people, and they meant a lot to me at one point, and I will never forget that, but I hardly listen to their music anymore. But I'll probably have a crazy-fan-phase when they release a new album.wow. exactly what I was gonna sayI liked GD for the longest time, but then some of my newer friends got me into the hardcore/screamo scene, but once their new album ((if ever)) comes out I'll be the same fan I was before
greendea Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 aha huhthey are the blood that pumps in my veins
HeartxShaped Box Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 they are the blood that pumps in my veinsquite the fan hmm?
Haniik Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Um, in 2006 I think, I lost my interest in them and I completely stopped listening to them. But when they published 21st Century Breakdown, I got back to them, althought that album didn't enchant me at first time. But I realise that I was always their fan and I daresay I'll always be :-D.
Leisha-LUNA Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I almost had a heart attack then. I was reading through posts on this thread going WTF?! THEY JUST RELEASED A NEW ALBUM! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM THESE PEOPLE haha, before realizing this was back in 2007. I took a break from listening to them in like 07-08. Still loved them. but yeah, needed something new. and then BAM 21st Century Breakdown blew my mind.

Mar Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Is it weird that at the moment, I'm TRYING to lose interest in them? I'm really, really depressed about not being able to see them on tour, and I feel like pushing myself to become bored of them will lessen my sadness about it. I'm going to do my best to avoid anything involving this tour on the forums for that reason.
ConorGD Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 tbh i hate the this thread whats the point of sharing opions about losing intrest in them this is a green day fan site if ure losing intrest why are u on the. GDC?
Ally Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 tbh i hate the this thread whats the point of sharing opions about losing intrest in them this is a green day fan site if ure losing intrest why are u on the. GDC? theres a lot of people on here that only stay because they have a lot of friends on here Since i got into them i dont think i have lost interest in them at all. Yes i will have off weeks when i decide i don't want to listen to green day, but its never permanent. Sounds stupid but there music has effected me so much i kunda feel attached and don't think i will lose interest. I mean i have loved them for 6 years, and thats the longest i have ever gone on one band, think max amount of time i have loved one band for before is 3 years, because i never felt properly attached like i do with green day...It's weird how some a band can make you feel so stongly
Angela. Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 tbh i hate the this thread whats the point of sharing opions about losing intrest in them this is a green day fan site if ure losing intrest why are u on the. GDC? Um... just because people who signed up for GDC don't have an interest in Green Day anymore, doesn't mean they should leave. There are people on the forum who aren't big fans anymore, but choose to stay around because they have friends on here. And there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever. Anyways, I'd say that I'll never lose interest in Green Day, but I know there's going to be points in my life where there's other bands I'm going to dig deeper into other bands and just listen to them more than Green Day for a while. Right now, I'm doing that with Avenged Sevenfold. I've been listening to them a ton recently, and I've only listened to Green Day a little bit. I think it's a good thing, just to take a small break and branch out to new stuff instead of listening to the same stuff over and over.
St. Jimmy 7234 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 There was a time where my Green Day obsession died for awhile.... But now Im back into them and they are back at the top of my list. My love for Green Day will never die
Izzard Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I listen to a lot of music, however there is never a day where I don't either listen or have a Green Day song stuck in my head. Green Day's the best imo. I don't get why people who have lost interest in Green Day come to this site still though..I get it you have friends and stuff here but, meh.
colour_me_stupid_ Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Green Day have always been my favourite band, but in the gap between American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, I did lose interest a little, simply because other bands I'm into were bringing out new albums (Queens of the Stone Age, Bullet for my Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold), so I focused on those bands more than on Green Day for a while. But then I found out about 21st Century Breakdown and FREAKED THE HELL OUT I remember it so well, I was so insanely happy I have never in my life freaked out about a new album as much as I freaked out about 21st Century Breakdown. So I never REALLY lost interest in them

I almost considered Green Day my second favorite band at that time.....felt like I was cheating
Christina_Whatsername Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 i don't think i am and i will ever lose my interest in Green Day... just because even if there isn't something new, those guys always make me stay in love with them and with their music, so there is NO f-u-c-i-n-g possibility of me losing interest in the persons who give me motivation to keep fighting...
H8RRY Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 im not losing interest and i like loads of other bands they will always be one of my faveroute bands. if u start to lose interest u r not a true fan!!

cherrybomb! Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I don't there's ever been a point were i've lost interest in them, there have been times were my "obsession" has died down, but I've never stopped listening to them or following what there up to I don't think I could ever loose interest in Green Day, they mean way too much to me.
Kayfabe Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 my friends ask when are you gonna forget about that dumb band? nevarr i say If you spoke English people might take you seriously EDIT: Okay, you're 14, maybe that was a tad harsh would still have been harsh if he were your age or older D: the sentence wasn't bad
St.Jimmy69 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I get what your saying. I used to only listen to Green Day, but now I'm getting into other bands, i.e some older punk, other punk bands and so on.
H8RRY Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 If you spoke English people might take you seriously EDIT: Okay, you're 14, maybe that was a tad harsh theres nothing wrong with my english i just cant b bothered to right it all out properly :L
TaylorKlinke Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 My love for Green Day will never die but I do have my days/weeks/months of listening to them non stop and then not listening to them that much.... I listened to them nonstop after I heard of their new cd coming out and I haven't been listening to them as much after I found out they weren't coming back to Minnesota/North Dakota this tour ...but I'll always love them. I think i have an emotional attachment to them because they will always be there for me when no one else is here for me...
