Misa Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I have not lost interest in Green day yet!Though the break has been taking long time....i´m looking forward to the next album.Y´ know it´s sad that some fans lose the interest when the band is ´´in the background´´...
Beathe. Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Not completely. I'm still listening to them, but it's not the same. I'm really into football now.
MusicalDeviant Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I'm not necessarily losing interest in green day, but yesterday, I was watching clips from the MCR documentary "Life on The Murder Scene" and I started getting the same feelings i had for MCR that I had for green day after reading books about them, and interviews about them, and Bullet in A Bible.I feel as if I've started to see myself more in the MCR guys than Green Day, which is strange because I'm far more like the Green Day guys than the MCR guys. I feel like a cheating slutbag. I cheated on my Green Day. I should wear a big, scarlet S on my shirt from now on....(S for slutbag).Hopefully Green Day won't divorce me.
Isabel Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I've matured alot since I first start liking them. There are less posters on the wall, less conversations about them, just fundamentally less obsessing. But I'm not losing interest in them. They're still my favourite band.
katie Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 i took down my posters todayi didnt feel bad eitherbecause i took down my from first to last one to ha.i put james dean up. =]
Isabel Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 yeah, I replaced some of mine with Less Than Jake posters
lost_rock_star1972 Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I listen to Green Day nearly all the time. I think the only reason I might be getting a bit sick of it is because I need some new CDsYep. Pretty much.
MusicalDeviant Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 yeah, I replaced some of mine with Less Than Jake posters Isn't that a step backwards? Like a demotion?
Guest The_Battles Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I definetly lost interest in them. THey wrote way to many pointless medicore political songs. Didn't they support Live earth as well?
Beathe. Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Isn't that a step backwards? Like a demotion? And that comes from a person that likes My Chemical Romance...
chickin'pickin' Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 If their new album sucks, (which by looking at their recent releases, is highly probable) I may just lose interest completely.Gah, they suck just recently.
armatageshanks Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Not completely. I'm still listening to them, but it's not the same. I'm really into football now.that doesn't make any sense at all.you're really into a sport now, so it made you lose interest in a musical group.music and sports are completely different worlds.
tunny_the_drummer Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 nope, it doesnt matter that their taking a while to make a new record, their jut trying to be good to their fans and please them.
123 Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I have nowhere near the interest I had when i first came here then i do now. Thats because when I got into them, they were the first band I ever listened and got into before I had any interest in music. So yeah, I was obsessed for a while and they were all I listened to. But over time I branched out on my musical horizons and listened to other bands and now I like so many different bands all thanks to GD because they got me into a type of music I love. I dont listen to them as often as before, but I still love and repect them for an amazing bad and I cant wait to see them live again.
summerz Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I still listen to some Green Day at least several times a week , no I'm not losing interest.
Beathe. Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 that doesn't make any sense at all.you're really into a sport now, so it made you lose interest in a musical group.music and sports are completely different worlds.I'm more into Rosenborg now, so I don't listen to Green Day so much. But football songs. That's also music...
Isabel Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Isn't that a step backwards? Like a demotion?Well no, because I had already said that it didn't affect my interest in the band. I was simply making room for something else I like.
MrGreenDayUK Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Nah, I'm still really into Green Day and have been listening to them loads, especially the live stuff on here. But I'm also getting into more kinds of music, definately. And now I've totally gone off football (sorry, soccer), whereas before I was a big Gillingham FC fan *wahay pikeys!!!*
Mato Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Of course no. I listen Green Day all the time and I never lost hope in them.
