Whatsername532 Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I dont think I'm losing intrest.. And I will never lost it!
Gail. Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Well I don't really listen to them that much anymoreif they bring out a new album maybe a different story.
SOMERTEN Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I still love listening to the music. There's so many good songs. Having said that I wish they'd bring out something new, I'd even settle for 'Heart like a Hand Grenade' I wish there was some kind of Green Day on tour video from the American Idiot era. I don't want them to lose the new fan base they have built up because they take so long between albums.
*Jade_Green_Day* Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I don't listen to their music as much either, I'm like what some of you have said - Green Day changed my musical tastes for the better, and the music I listen to today is thanks to them.I just wish they'd hurry up with that damn CD, cos it's like the break they had between Warning and American Idiot, except they haven't announced it as a 'break'. Yeah, they've done the charity work, but I'm sure a lot of us are in need of some more of Green Day's great material!
JadedPunk_91 Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 No, I haven't lost interest... and i hope i never do!
catskill94 Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 because they suck. lolz.i listented to them too much and they really aren't that amazing. it's really only just that.
Morgaine Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Does listening to other bands more than to Green Day count as losing interest? If yes, then yeah, I'm losing it.Heh, I can't believe I wrote this. Because I don't have an impression that I'm losing it.
Yvonne Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I havent listened to Green Day or any punk, emo, .. *fill-in* band in over 6 months.I dedicated my life to Christian music and Gospel. You still have punk, rock and everything.. but with christian lyrics. It's not that im not interested in them anymore at all. They are a good band. But I prefere a different life style. And Im as curious as anyone else about their new album and blablabla..
crazy_ruspunkgirl Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 i love Green Day so much. i thought that i'm losing interest but some minutes ago i watched GD's video and i was very happy=))i undestood that i still love them and their music. Of course, i don't listen GD so often as at the begining, but i think i need new songs, new CD. When? When will be new CD? But also i found many others bands what i'm interested in. But they all sound nearly like GD. I think time didn't change my tastes in music - GD changed my tastes, my opinions and my life. I always will love them. Billie Joe is GENIUS!!!!etc(see my sig)
likeahandgrenade Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 i think i am- they still definitely are probably my "favorite" (in a loose sense of the word) band, and i'll probably get their new album the day it comes out and become a huge fan all over again... but right now, this forum's pretty much the only reason i still think about green day.i still listen to their stuff, but not nearly as much as i used to... and i tend to find a lot of other bands that capture my interest in the meantime. like right now i'm into korn, with their new album and whatnot. plus i watched loaded korn videos on fuse last night and had "twisted transistor" stuck in my head all day
redundantle Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I think I may have a little bit. I still like them as much, but thanks to them, I've found dozens of other amazing artists, too. I have to admit I listen to them more of the time, too. So, they're still probably my favourite band, and they're still ultra important to me, but they've got competition. I suppose it would help my interest level a little bit if they would get a new album out... 'Cause other than that, the vast world of Green Day isn't much more exciting than the music they've already put out.
katie Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 i havent listened to them in ages i dont really follow up on themthe only relation i have to them anymore is this place..they're cool, whatever i think my taste in music changed. a lot.
madie Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I havent listened to Green Day or any punk, emo, .. *fill-in* band in over 6 months.I dedicated my life to Christian music and Gospel. You still have punk, rock and everything.. but with christian lyrics.Sarcasm?
elmo_the_idiot Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 ive not lost interest really but my interest has cooled down a bit, simply because they havent released anything for 3 years and ive listened to them to death over the last 10 years... ive discovered alot of new music and green day has been pushed to the back of my mind. but im sure when the new album comes, it will return to how it was
The Nobody Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I've never been good at listening to lyrics (to me a voice is just another instrument, and I never really got into hearing what they were actually singing about), and as the main point in their music are the lyrics, the music got a bit too repetitive and dull for me. I can listen to them occasionally, but nowhere near as often as I used to.
gdfanatic211 Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 i wouldn't really say i'm losing interest, but i haven't been listening to their music that much latelybut i still love them to death!!
lift-to-happy-hour Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 personally i dont think im losing interestbut alot of my friends say that im not talking about them as much as i used tobut there still my favourite band and that will never change as long as i have a say to it
CarnageXB Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Ive lost a little interest in green day but im sure once there new album comes out im going to be happy
Pan. Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I think almost half of the members of this forum have lost interest in Green Day. Some more than others.. I still kind of like them, but definitely not as much as before.
soundbarrier4 Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I think almost half of the members of this forum have lost interest in Green Day. Some more than others.. I still kind of like them, but definitely not as much as before.Yeah, I know I have.Babe, you've gotten into MCR, and I've gotten into Paramore. But still...if it wasn't for Green Day/GDC, I never would have met you.
Pan. Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Yeah, I know I have.Babe, you've gotten into MCR, and I've gotten into Paramore. But still...if it wasn't for Green Day/GDC, I never would have met you.Oh, you're so right. That's why I can never hate Green Day. Not only did they save my life, but they somehow helped me meet the love of my life -- you!
jesus the rage guy Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 everyday i wanna be more a drummer because tre cool
Jaccoby Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 My interest in Green Day is around the same as it was when I first came to this site. I'm not a big fan but I listen to them enough I guess. They're kind of on the decline for me though since they haven't really released much nowadays...it's hard competition in my book because I'm getting re-interested in other bands since they have had newer releases. Tool with 10,000 Days, Korn with Untitled and Nine Inch Nails with Year Zero. And to sum that up...since I'm not sure if I made sense...my interest is generally the same but slowly losing points.
