i've lost interest just a bit i guess. They are still my favorite band and always will be, i listen to them every now and then, i still come here and check if there's news of them, i remember that i was completely obsessed with them when AI came out. It was kinda when I "discovered" them. I'm starting to get into my green day phase again with the saints are coming, i know it's not only their song but what the hell they're in it.

i haven't lost interest at all...i still play them every day...they're the only band that i've ever connected with.

my excitement only grew when i heard they were recording again :)

I think I have. My mom saw this cd that I didn't have by them that was most likely a boot leg and I just shook my head and went to look at posters. She was shocked because I used to go all teeny over then. In three months I have matured from the teeny stage to partially sane. I'm proud :)

About a year ago when they stopped touring, I overplayed the songs, and it just wasnt new anymore. I still love them and all, I just dont listen to their songs every moment of my life anymore.

There's no way for me to lose interest in Green Day as I think they're the best band on the planet by absolute miles. THeir music is so catchy and meaningful, it's my idea of what rock music should be really.

I'll go through periods of not listening to them that much, but then there are periods of complete obsession... it's easy to get hooked on green day cos there are so many albums with awesome songs! As soon as I get tired of one I've forgotten about another so I can rediscover it lol.

I am losign intrest becuase this whole american idiot BS is boring, and so done.

I haven't even bothered to watch the saints are coming.

Nope, I haven't lost interest yet and I don't think I will anytime soon. Green Day has just been such a big part of my life this past year, their music has helped me so much that I could never just "forget" about them or like a band more. They'll always be my favorite.

Although I do listen to other music Green Day's been the only band I've ever been able to really connect with on an emotional level. They're just that good :)

thats exactly how i feel

really, how can someone just all of the sudden stop liking their favorite band? Its hard for me to imagine someone just deciding to stop listening to green day, they weren't really your favorite band in the first place were they now?

they just better hurry up and release the friggin album soon, and it better top AI, for their sake..

not really.

i have my moments when i listen to other bands way more than them, but then i listen to one of their albums and i forget how much i really love them.

it's like, i feel like i haven't listened to them in so long and hearing them makes me remember how much their music makes me happy.

I know the feeling... :)

I'm not losing interest in them or anything, but I haven't been listening to them much lately.

I've discovered so many new bands recently, that Green Day has taken a back-seat. For the time being.

every few weeks i stop listening to them... and then i start to play them again and the music sounds new, fresh and exciting. :)

although i think i've lost some interest as i dont jump every time somebody mentions them... which is probably a good thing.

i'm not losing interest, but I don't listen to them as much as I used. Before it was like I would always hear at least one Green Day song every day and I was just EXTREMELY obsessed, but now things have calmed down. I've started to listen to more and more bands, but no matter what, Green Day will always be my favorite band. If it weren't for them, who the hell knows what I would be listening to now. Plus liking Green Day help me discover GDC :woot: Also, I just like the feeling when you haven't listened to one of their cds in a while. It just feels like all the love you had for that cd comes back. But I'm sure when the new album comes out, i won't stop listening to it.

I am, but i expected it to happen.

I still love them, but they're kinda getting old to me.

I'm sure when the new album comes out I'll fall in love again :P

I think I have lost a bit of interest in Green Day. I'm into other bands now, but Green Day will always be my number #1 favorite band. They've already earned a very special place in my heart.

I know for sure that I will be absolutely OBSESSED with GD again once they release their new album and start touring, which is hopefully soon!

I am still obsessed. Listen to them 24/7. I just can't help it.

I don't listen to Green Day much anymore. But I'll listen when they release another album, and I'll be as mad as I was back then.

I go through phases. I don't think that I really lose interest.

Sometimes it'll be a Nimrod phase, or an AI phase or a different band phase.

I was last in a Panic! at the Disco phase and I hadn't listened to GD in a while but I have listened to Panic WAY too much now. But in a while no doubt I will be back to and obsessed with certain songs or albums of GD again:D

But at the moment I am in a study phase and no matter how much I'd like it if I could, I can't study with music so I am musicless for the next couple of weeks. *tear*

Green Day had a pretty intense run these past two years of wearing nothing but red and black suits. They had a lot of clones that dominated the airwaves for a while. It's like eating Cheez-Its for a few weeks. You still love the hell out of them, but sometimes you just crave a little diced pear or cream cheese on a bagel. It's not that Cheez-Its aren't still good, but you'll come back to them once your pallete is refreshed.

In short, Green Day is a little worn out now. We're all ready for something new, but until then, a lot of people are on a Green Day break.

Ditto. I have been listening to a lot of other really great bands, that have been connecting with me better than some of the Green Day songs have. But I know that when it really gets down to my favorites, its Green Day.

Whoever made the Cheeze-It analogy, and don't know whether you are a fucking genious, or an absolute moron. I'll go with genious though, and say I agree.
