Losing Interest In Green Day ?

yes but when you have a connnection with a band like i have it's impossible to ever forget them or stop liking them. maybe you don't have that with a band so you wouldn't know. i can't explain it fully and i wouldn't want to even if i could because it's something personal to me but thats how i feel

Before I only listened to Green Day, and everything was about them, and they were the only thing on my mind. Now, I've found so many other bands, that I love. So I'm not that GD-crazy anymore. But it's because of Green Day I found all these bands, so they're still my all-time favorite band. For getting me a huge interest in music, and making me happy.

Well to be honest i've pretty much totally gone off green day, i never listen to them and never really say they are a band i like any more but when they make a new album or if they come here i'll see them and love them agian.

once i was much more into them, but it's not like im losing my interest,

sometimes i hear them, and sometimes it's other bands.

there were mothes that i didn't even hear them once. im just more open to other

things - now that there's no new green day stuff around.

when they'll come back with new album i'll probably hear it all day long 'till im over it. you can't get over the things that you like the best.

Okay, so I don't know if someone has already made this thread. I searched and nothing came up (not what I was looking for, anyway). So unless I was searching the wrong words, than I guess this is the first. Hopefully.

I've just been on aol with some people and they were talking about how they were losing interest/lost interest in Green Day. Some said it happened long ago, after Warning, some said it was during American Idiot, because of the sudden success, and lots more. So if you happen to think you are losing interest (or you already have) in Green Day, please explain your reason here.

It might seem like I'm losing interest cuz I'm not talking about GD all the time with people I know. But here's how it is. Since GD got all popular again after American Idiot, it feels like I don't have to tell everyone that they're a great band. People can see for themselves. Plus I don't want to be a bandwagoner.

I'll always think GD are excellent. Of course there are periods when I don't listen to them, but it's because I don't want to get sick of it. GD has meant more to me than any other band has.

I listen to Green Day nearly all the time. I think the only reason I might be getting a bit sick of it is because I need some new CDs

None of my friends really like Green Day. They like them, but they're not obssessed with them (like I am).

K, I can't be arsed to read the whole thread right now, so I'll just say what I think: I dont think I'm really losing interest in them, but due to their inactivity, they've taken a backseat to my "filler" bands (aka the ones who I'm into while they're not around). But, when the new CD comes out, everything will be alright with the world, and they'll be back at #1.

Ive listened to Green Day EVERY day this year (seriously). Yes I am obsessed. And no I am not losing interest. I have calmed down some since theyre working on their new album and nothin much has been happening lately.

I've liked them for 6 years now and I've never lost interest. They were such a big part of my life when I was growing up and yeah I got into other bands (which Green Day helped in) like The Ramones and The Clash and Dead Kennedy's. They inspired me to play drums and I can't forget them for the influence that they've had on my music. At the end of the day though Green Day are without a doubt my favourite band.

As soon as a new album gets released everyone will be back on here bumming them like they did with American Idiot.

I used to listen to Green Day ALL the time, they were the ONLY band I'd ever listen to. Now, I listen to a such a big variety of music, that when it comes to Green Day, I can't stop listening to them. Everytime I decide to listen to them, I can't turn them off. I'm not losing interest, I still love them, even more than before because not listening to them as much just shows how great their music really is. As, listening to it all the time, feels the same and isn't so great.

Although, I know a LOT of people who decided to 'hate' Green Day because they are 'over them' and find them 'boring' maybe if they started listening to them, one song, they'd find how good they really are.

Well, yes, I've lost some interest in Green Day. But I'll always love GD. Always. I guess they kinda changed me as a person. Can't wait for their next album to be released! I'll probably gain some new interest then. Exept if they get even more teenieweenie fans. /:

it's like, i feel like i haven't listened to them in so long and hearing them makes me remember how much their music makes me happy.

I never totally lose interest.

I mean i'm a big fanatic fan everytime they release some new material.

Other times i just listen to Green Day like an average person, sometimes more, sometimes less. It was about two weeks since i listened Warning cd, and before that i had like a month break. Then sometimes i go totally mental about green day and spend a day with them.

Well at the moment I don't listen to Green Day as much as I used to I don't know why but I think it will come back. But if I loose interest I will still be here because there are so many fantastic people and this forum have changed me as a person, it have made better at expressing feelings

i started to lose interest in them a while ago, but not because of american idiot or the success or anything. i just started listening to other bands more and found bands i liked more than green day. i'm still a green day fan, they're just not my favorite band anymore (they were back in 8th-9th grade).
