hmmm... i really dunno. the last months i ve lost my interest a little but not compeletely...

but i dont think i must analyze it so much. just listen to the music i like, be exchited with bands, then discover new bands, let the previous for a while, and then returnt o them again, and let it happening....

i think i am actually starting to lose interest. if i have my iPod on shuffle, and Green Day comes on, i usually switch to a song by a different band. i think i've heard each Green Day song so many times that i just get sick of hearing it over and over again. i still love Green Day though.

For me, I think its totally ok to listen to other music, I do myself, but I also think that in a fallow cyclic period, certain fans will fall by the wayside, but thats ok, it sorts the wheat from the chaff, and the wheat will remain loyal to this site till the next album comes out, however difficult that may be, because they know its worth it, (yes that does sound like an L'Oreal ad). I am looking forward to see who is still here in 6 months time.

i'm past the whole obsessive fan stage, but i still like them. every once in a while i'll feel like listening to one of their first few albums at least.

i'll definitely download the next album, and probably buy it as long as it's not an AI Part 2 deal.

I only got into them when american idiot came out because i wasn't into music before that. i know they will be my favourite band forever, because they have saved my life and you know, they're my fucking heroes and i love evry single piece of music they have made. i hate the fact that i can't be a dedicated big fan, that insists on being that for as long as i live, because i have only been into music and then for about 2 years.

Yeah i agree. I didn't really get into them properly until AI and i haven't lost interest, because i found out what a great band they were and what a great back catalouge they had. I probably listen to at least one song or parts of one album by them a day, but i listen to other stuff too; that doesn't mean i'm losing interest in Green Day. I'm excited to see what they can come up with next, what the next album will be like. Some people are only really losing interest because they can't be bothered to wait. Either that or they were never really much into them to begin with.

all we're saying is that it may seem like that but after awhile, no matter how much you love them then... it kind of just goes away.

I was always the only person I knew who listened to Green day for a while. My friend decided it would be cool to copy me and just act as if she had discovered them and I was the one who copies her. I kinda started to lose intrest when it wasn't fun to be different anymore. Don't get me wrong I still love Green Day and listen to their music, I just feel like every day that I like them is a competition therefore I have kinda lost a small amount of intrest in them as people, not their music.

but of course green day's still my favorite band. and once their new album comes out i'll probobly b obsessed all over again. well, at least, i hope so. cause if not there's gonna b ALOT of stuff to get rid of... 23 posters...a calander...a blanket...a scrapbook...3 cassette tapes...curtains...and 11 CDS...damn if i stop liking green day my room's gonna b EMPTY!!

Funny how when you like a band for the right reasons in the first place, it's unusual to ever completely lose interest.
