and just let the bullshit slide cause the same thing happened to him in high school

Well I have had the worst day ever today! In IT we are making a film as part of our coursework and I've made mine as an advert for 21st CB (the album). Today we were reviewing each others, we had to leave our hand-made questionares by our computer then wander round and review different films. I was dead pleased with mine and couldn't wait to see what people thought of mine, but I noticed crowds around my computer laughing. Then someone came up to me and said "you're not going to like what alistair's put on you questionare." So when I went over I had four reviews, three of them were really good and positive but one was not very nice at all and quite offensive. This kid (Alistair) had written this-

His comments really hurt me as he hadn't actually based it on my ability just my choice of music. You know I had never said a bad word to him and it didn't help when others were joining in on the laugh too. Only one person came up to me and asked if I was ok, I understand I like different things to most people in that class but really hurting and embarassing me? Sorry I had to get that off my chest

I've been bashed many times. I really don't care though. I get the "Gay Day" and "Green Gay" comments all the time... Whatever. Nothing is gonna make me stop liking this band! They mean the world to me, and I like how I can say this on here. Because anyone I told it to in real life just wouldn't get it. But it's nice that people on here do, because we're all kinda, connected, you know?

I've never gotten any shit for liking Green Day, there again, I believe people might be too clever to actually have a go at me about it, if they thought against it. Let's just say... I wouldn't take it too kindly, and without violence, I have the ability to make a lot of people wish they'd never said anything so dumb to me.

Oddly enough, my best friend gives me shit about it every day. She says the only reason anyone likes them is because of American Idiot. But, all she listens to is techno crap, so if that tells you anything...

I get bashed quite alot - jokingly most of the time - for being a GD fan. Mostly it's from my friend whos into 'classic rock' bands, he says the suck and that Billie can't play guitar. I just reply, "They got me into better music!"

I wore my 21CB tshirt to PE the other day and this guy was like "Green Day actually suck. No they really do." Then he started singing American Idiot. I just laughed and said that they have 8 other albums, not just that one.

I´m really shocked to read of all those bad experiences of yours. Luckily I´ve never experienced something like that myself! The worst thing I´ve ever heard was my brother calling them gays and that didn´t affect me at all

What comes to my mind when I read all of those stories is that it´s actually fascinating how concerned many people are about the lives of others. I think you can be proud to have interests and to have something to feel passionate about, no matter what it is!

Some people think I've lost my mind because I'm seeing them 4 times. But no one has ever been nasty about it, they think its cool and just laugh. No one would dare talk to me like that if they wanted to live another day.

There are some people who laugh or give me strange looks when I talk about Green Day ( I don't have any tops or pins yet ) but I don't mind. My best friend usually makes me feel better 'cause I've given her a bit of a Green Day education, and she actually gets mad when someone insults green day and yells at them. she was also shocked when I told that there's people out there who think Green Day suck She said "but Green Day's one of those bands that you just don't insult, like Aerosmith or ACDC!"
