Cinder24 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 All my life at school I got given shit for being a Green Day fan, both from people who were into RnB and Pop who sneered at me for being emo and punk, and from Hardcore fans who thought of Green Day as soft and try hard.However, I just ignored them, my best friend and I actually quite enjoyed it and would even get into lengthy arguments about it. Finally at the end of year 12 we both saved and travelled across the country to see Green Day live, and that put an end to all the arguing, people finally accepted that we could love who we loved and left us alone.Now I have started at uni and found a whole bunch of people who love live music, including Green Day as much as I do, and if not, they are fine with it because it is all about individuality.High school was a time when you were crucified or being at all different, and the only way to get through it is to stick to your beliefs. Be proud of being different and ignore the dicks who have major ego problems.

HE DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS SONG, SO HE SHOULD FUCKING LET THE MOUTH CLOSED!! :verymad:

They go on and on but they're all just stupid preps. I have Green Day stickers all over my binder and whenever someone says something about it I ignore them. It's better that way because they just have no clue what they're missing. I love to watch stupid preps be clueless ^_^ Makes my day.

They'll be like "I LOVE BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG!!" or "Why are they called Green Day? Why Green Day when their album is red? (AI)" Obviously they dont know shit about them, and theyre just being stupid. So I just ignore them or say shut up! in a nice way. that usually works

Gladiator_Girl Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 if you think its bad what people say bout GD now, you should have seen what it was like 6-7 years ago. im a lil older then some of you and i remember when i first got into GD back then, people hated them. i got so much crap from people it wasnt even funny. now, after they've become more popular and have a few songs that the 'preps' like, they're not taking all the heat. lol also like GD says, i was into punk rock before it was cool....doesnt that make me feel old
