Wet socks traumatize me Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 People that hate GD and their fans are the ones who think that mainstream music sucks. Only because it's on the radio, it's not cool, because it's TRENDY.My mom likes Green Day. She dances to it hahaha
g l o r i a Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 The last thing this world needs is a bunch of pissed off Green Day fans.Fuck everyone else, all we need is eachother<3"Oh Billy Joel wears eye liner!"Even though they say his name, I can just picture how they spell it.
P3AC3MAK3R Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 i so agree ^ notice its all of the Green Day fans that are getting picked on and/or dissed its never the hip hop or rnb luvers we no what real music is they have no idea!!
Wet socks traumatize me Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 LET'S TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!yay.
American Basket Case Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 ^ Maybe it's an age thing, but I can't say I've ever been bashed for liking Green Day. When I was in high school and Dookie was released, everyone seemed to like them. It stayed that way for a while, then I got so busy with college and grad school that I lost track of Green Day. I only really had the time to "rediscover" them when 21CB came out. (I've missed so much! :verymad: ) However, even on my other fandoms, if I mention being a Green Day fan, I don't get ridiculed for it. One member, who really doesn't care for GD's current stuff, even admitted that there is a lot of unnecessary hate toward the band, but she didn't trash them or anything. Of course, there was a member who referred to Billie Joe as the devil incarnate, but she was joking (I think ).
catarina. Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 i've never been bashed for liking Green Day. Actually people just tell me something like:WHAT? I LOVE THEM or I'm not into their style but their good.thank god XD
Velocity Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I never really talk about Green Day, so there aren't many people who even know I listen to the band other than my good friends. But a few of them have said things to me here and there about Green Day that are kind of condescending, almost as if I should have grown out of Green Day like they did years ago. It annoys me a little but it's not a huge deal.edit: And lately it seems like my mom's mocking me for liking them. I never talk to her about them, so it's not like I'm annoying her or anything. But I fucking hate it. She makes me so angry. It almost seems as if she's trying to make me start hating Green Day or something. Jesus Christ.
The Daughter of Rage and Love Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 One member, who really doesn't care for GD's current stuff, even admitted that there is a lot of unnecessary hate toward the band.Yeah! I never understood why. What makes Green Day so terrible compared to the other shitty excuses for "artists" people listen to today? --And the people who bash you for liking Green Day think that they're music experts since they like artists like the BEP, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and such. --Anyway, I haven't gotten bashed for liking Green Day at school, so far. I have been asked,"Like, OMG why do you still like them?!" and shit. Nothing serious.I've actually gotten complemented by someone for wearing a Green Day shirt.
P3AC3MAK3R Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Every time i have music at school sombody always says shit about Green Day cause every body at my school knows that im a huge fan i dont hide it It really dosent bother me cause im not going to change !! There are about 3 people in my class who like them so every musis lesson we just go off and play GD songs and my music teacher likes them aswell so he is always teaching us new stuff But they think it anoyes me when they say bad stuff about them sometimes ill talk back and i always have a opinion even though some times i keep it to myself..
JeanJeanie Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 My friend's boyfriend once told me I was a "fucking moron" to like anything past Kerplunk. He was just being his sarcastic asshole self, but that didn't stop me from convincing him to try the honey dip which was really just a melted candle. Best scene ever: him puking into the sink as I laugh and comment on "Who's the moron now?"
newsflash777 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 WOW. There was a link to Billie's house, and this guy posted"Wow, that's what happens when you sell out. If he was a real punk, he'd be living in a mobile home with 20 other guys. What a poser."ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

Who cares about his family's welfare, or his kids getting a satisfactory education? The only thing that really matters is his image, man, because that's what punk is all about; looks.
RobyRoom Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 ^ So true I hate when people says that Billie's a drop out therefore he can't talk about politics and such Instruction and intelligence are two separate things

jm_xd Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 i was at the bar last weekend and i was wearing green day t-shirt. then some random guy came to me and told me that green day sucks, it's fuckin emo and everyone who likes green day should be mashed. i just looked at him and said something like: ok, you know, you're fuckin great guy, plz go away? then he went away, but when i saw him later again, he came to me again and said somethin like: green day sucks, metallica rocks the world. i totally ignored him, what a dumb!
z5warrior Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Someone called GD the next Jonas Brothers because they like to bring kids on stage and GD shows suck because of this and they all their old fans hate them now and the crowd hates them. I was like have u heard 21stcb album or were u deaf and blind when u went to the show. Nothing wrong with connecting with the crowd Shockingly some people don't like them interacting with the crowd I hate when people stop being fans because they believe GD is selling out or just have more younger fans now
::.Silvy.:: Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I just hate all them fuckin stupid people who tell me bullshit about GD... I like them, what's the problem??? the big problem is that all my friends listen to house "music" (BUAHAHAH).... my best friends try to understand me but some stupid giggling starts everytime I tell them that I'm crazy happy because I'll go to their concert.... and then I go like: go to hell!
some person Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I feel sad that fans r turning against Billie Joe because he's married and they're saying being a female fan of BJ isn't worth it because they keep getting picked on. I say who cares, he's great and makes great music and GD is awesome. U should not let people influence how u think. quitting being a fan because someone insults u is just stupid. I get picked on all the time and I stand my ground or just ignore it. I hope this isn't the reason they're losing some votes.
Mellyboots Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 There's a guy in my class and whenever we talk about music, and I say I'm not a fan of a band/artist he likes he automatically responds: "Yeah, well Green Day are shit"
AnnA™ Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 People have a lot of opinions about Green Day. For someone that don't know anything about them it's all about their looks or their political opinions. And all they really can say is "they suck" or "they're gay". I don't really see the point of taking crap from low-lives that for whatever reason think it's cool or fun to pick on me for liking them. Green Day themselves wouldn't take that kind of crap, so why should I?Actually, I'm proud. My brother's mostly into techno and stuff, and not rockmusic at all - except for Green Day. I introduced them to him, and I've made him admit that they're the best.

AnnA™ Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 And I really didn't mean to post it that many times, sorry.
