I have not encountered anything like this since I was in Grade 10 after Dookie had been out for awhile, and my love of Green Day continued as everyone else "got over them". I caught alot of shit for continuing to listen to Green Day and wearing my "Dookie Tour 1994" t-shirt all the time. Ha ha. In my year book I was voted "Most likely to still be listening to Green Day in the year 2000" (my best friend was the year book editor). Look who's laughing now!!!! :lol:

When I was younger I'd get all worked up about it, but now I'm 28 and I don't give a shit if someone says something about my undying love of Green Day, especially if that person is like 10 years old.

Very few people know about my Green Day obsession and when someone finds out they always go, "Wow, I can't believe you like Green Day! i have a prime example of why i have been bashed as a green day fan for 4 years.

a couple days ago, some 'fan' on youtube managed to comment on my default

themselves and dont see the point in putting other people down for their taste in music.

like, im not a fan of Slipknot, at all, but if someone was wearing a slipknot shirt or told me they were a fan,

i'd just be like "oh that's cool", just because i dont care for a band, doesn't mean i shouldn't respect them as artists.

and i just dont think many people get that whole concept. that's why we're known as some of the most dedicated yet nicest types of fans.

Yeah, You're right. It's just cool that you adore one band and you really love their music and you feel that you're some kind connected with them, no matter what band it is. It's about being fan.

And about GD's haters...

Is it bad to like/love/listen to band? I don't see what's their problem. It's so stupid, cause they think that bands that thay are crazy about are better. How better? Geez.
