They don't call me emo, but everyone is like Oh Green Day is so gay, this band is so much better, Green Day sucks ass, blah blah blah! It is really annoying and I also hate it. But I'm used to it now. It's like yea whatever, but I like them and I don't care what other people think. That's why I like it here. Everyone likes Green Day (and if you don't why are you here?), so I can talk about them without people saying Green Day sucks! P.S. I'm new...

In school the other pupils don't know that I like Green Day, so nobody has ever bashed me for being a Green Day Fan. In school nobody knows who I really am and everyone thinks I'm only an ordinary and boring person. I want to buy a Green Day T-Shirt soon, but I'm a little scared about what the others would say if they know that I'm a Green Day Fan... Some pupils in our school are really dumb. :/ But I do what I want to do. I will buy this T-Shirt and wear it in school and everywhere else if I want to. If the others can't accept me it's their problem.

But i really don't get the funny part of that actually...

I think you should just screw it and move on with your life and keep on loving Green Day. You should not care about what other people think about Green Day cause they don't know them as much as the Green Day fans do. Just keep on wearing that Green Day T- Shirt and get them pissed off. Show them that you are proud that your a Green Day fan and whatever they had said to you meant nothing to you. The thing that happened to me was that someone were telling me that they were gay and that they were a bunch of sell outs and stuff like that. I didn't like what they said but I had to keep my cool and get on with my life and love Green Day's music. No one should care in they made fun of you cause your a Green Day fan.

Most of the time it's just a lot of bashing and callousness towards the band. Then they start going on about how much better "X oldies rock / heavy metal" band is so much better.Good thing that there's also some open-minded people at my school, and those are generally the people I get along a lot better with. Not that those higher up it the social system are my worst enemies or anything, I just wish they'd be a little more mature sometimes.
