Joey Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I get a buzz out of listening to good music, but Green Day are hardly the most theraputic "all life's troubles cease" kind of band, to me.
MrGreenDayUK Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Andres, you're fucking spot on. Green Day are getting me through my teenage yeras and recently I've adopted a kind of 'Why the fuck shuold I put up with bullshit that other people feed me, its my life' kind of policy. This is mainly due to Green Day and songs like Minority- I can stand up for myself and feel good about who I am as a person. They make fucking great music and I can relate to their songs, and I don't give a rats arse if people tell me they're shit, or if people give me shit. They are awesome and I think music in general (its Green Day for me but other people will have their favourites) should be treated as more than something that sounds good to listen to, but something to live by.But religion is a bit strong.
xxx Sarah xxx Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 There are no words that could possibly describe what Green Day means to meObsession? Yes.Religion? Uh...no.Did Billie Joe 'create the world'?Did Mike 'send his only son'?Has Tré 'found enlightenment'?No.They are not gods. Are you one of those fuckers who think every religion is the same?
