Yeah, I'm pretty sure Green Day's one of those bands that's going to be with me for life. I've liked them for so long enough now, without wavering, I just can't see it changing.

Who knows, though? You never can actually tell. But if I had to guess, I'd say that yeah, I'm still going to like them and be listening to them 10, 20, 30, 40, 50+ years from now.

For me, it's not a question of their music getting old for me - it couldn't do that, and my ongoing passion for Insomniac is the proof of that. There are a lot of songs out there, guys, and as long as you don't begin to actually lose your taste for the music, you won't ever get bored.

There are certain artists whose body of work is basically an ongoing dialogue with whoever is engaged with them - for me, the terrible thing with Green Day was when a sixteen-year dialogue stopped; now it's started again with AI.

It's whoever 'speaks' to you, as a previous poster said, and Green Day speaks to me. With artists like that, you want to check in with them every so often, see what their take is on the world, on life, where they are on this road that we're all travelling together.

Right now, Green Day is speaking to a lot of people, and last year was glorious, it was special, it was a particular moment in time that we all shared - and that's passing, that era is ending, and it's a little bit sad to me. Because it was basically a resurrection after the silence, it was pretty emotional too.

But as a work of art to explore and experience, as a piece of rock and roll to love and to be moved by, AI itself is just beginning for me, and it will be with me forever, another GD chapter to cherish along with the rest.

You just keep finding new angles all the time - fuckit, I heard something the other day in Good Riddance that had never struck me before.

And to think that the new album is already in the works, well, that's pure joy.

To me I know my love for Green day will always be there...

i don't care if other people doubt it because its in my heart...

They've affected me too much to forget and move on...

I've let too much emotion out onto their songs to simply decide that i'm jumping on the latest panic at the shitsco parade or whoever the fuck is big right now (i dont even know!)

Green Day have been with me growing up since I was 11 now to 15....their music has been there for me to cheer me up, to help me figure stuff out, to let me know other people feel the same and most importantly to grow up and realise theres no point feeling sorry for yourself and to just be myself and enjoy it...

Green Day have opened me up to so much wonderfull music, their own and other bands and I truly believe if I hadnt found them that I would be a different person...not from not following what they sayand their views but from not taking my own ways and views...

People ridicule me all the time for loving green day...but good for them at least they get a laugh out of it...sometimes i do too!

I've lost friends over who I am but to me they werent real friends and Green Day's music will always be there...its permanent its in my blood being pumped by my heart...

Green Day are more than just a band...theyre a part of my life

My mom said to me the last day "Youre going to be some crazy old lady in her seventies still listening to your green day records you got when you were 11, arent you?!" and i said Yup

Theyve helped me through some tough times and brought me through a stronger person and they helped me find myself and still are...

I was addicted to Green Day during every "new album time".I probably listened to the new album again and again till I fed up a little bit.But after having had another boring music experience,I picked it up.I love reviewing the album and finding something new or ordinary.I think that I will hardly feed them up really for a lifetime.I love Green Day by heart,not ears or something else.
