punkrockergirl83 Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I killed my parents and fed their bones to next doors dog.It was worth it.hahha.i fed the bones to my pet fishy named wendle.
Fuzz Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 The first time I flew to Pittsburg to wach them. The second time I drove 3 hours to the airport to catch a 5:30AM flight to Pennsylvania to meet Courtney, then drove a few hours to New Jersey to pick up Tyke and go the show. Not to mention the 9 hour drive to upstate New York to take Tyke back home. And then last month I flew to San Francisco to watch them at the Recording Academy Awards.I seem to have a problem about staying in my state to see them.

I have seen them twice in Kansas City (Missouri side) and once in Denver. I can't help it that they won't play Wichita though. Everyone else has, even the big classics. Elton John, Cher, etc. All the emo bands have been here also bands like Metallica, Godsmack, etc. Why not Green Day? I would be ecstatic if the next tour I could just get in my car and drive 15 minutes down the road to the Kansas Coliseum and see them. It would be so nice.
Sherri Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 ^You live in Kansas too? And yeah, I was always wondering whether they played in Wichita or not. Wichita is closer to me, so it looks like when I do go next time they're on tour.. I'll be taking a 5 hour drive to Kansas City. It'll be worth it though!
sarah! Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 nothing major. a little persuasion and plenty of travel.
kimmy Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 i bought cheap $10 tickets on the street a half hour before the show, snuck past the people who check your ticket to make sure you're supposed to be there, sat for 20 minutes trying not to look suspicious.and then i jumped over the bar and ran onto the floor and didn't get caught but then i decided to go crowd surfing during good riddiance to get closer for the last song. i got REALLY close, but then the security guards checked my ticket after i tried to get on the floor again, and i was escorted out. :/
TotalBasketCase13 Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 We only had to drive for a hour and a half to get to where they were playing, so it wasn't really a major thing. My story sounds so pitiful next to all these others
burnout_13 Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 My mum said if I saved up enough money she'd take me to the Paris gig on 8th November 2005. So I got a paper round and everything, all in vain as it was bloody well cancelled
The Nobody Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Drove for 3 hours to see them in Roskilde Festival last year. Greatest day of my life to date!

They've played up in Albuquerque here in New Mexico last year. But that was the first time they came to New Mexico since 1991. A friend of mine said he met them when they came then. They were still just a small punk band and he told me that when they got into Santa Fe they were having a party before the show and that they wouldn't come out of their van. He said they just sat in there asking where the actual show was going to be. He said he thinks they scared them off. But they don't come down here to Las Cruces, which is New Mexico's second biggest city and tons of bands play here. The Warped Tour usually passes through here but Green Day doesnt come down here. Pity too since I'm only like 5 minutes away from the arena.
k-tea Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Im waiting for them to go on tour again. But my older sister (now 25) saw them in 97 in the Quad Cities (IL) twice with her friend. How I envy her. The funny thing is that i listened to them with her when I was like 4 and now i want to see them in concert too. Quite sad actually a 4 year old listening to longview haha maybe thats why im so messed up

Pity too since I'm only like 5 minutes away from the arena. The local rock station tried to start an online petition late last summer to try and get them to come here. I called and told them it was a little too late now, the end of the tour was in site already. Next time around when they announce their tour dates if Wichita isn't on there I am calling the station right then to start the online petition.
give_me_novocaine Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I didn't have to anything that strenuous to get to Milton Keynes, except spend the next day at school being incredibly tired. But I'm a stupidly obsessed fan now. Short of running a family member through with a sabre, there is nothing I wouldn't do to see Green Day now.
Kimiko Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Hmm, I'm ready to go to Paris (my capital) just to see my favorite band ^_^ Moreover my mother will left me do ... in fact I think she will go with me ... She won't left me go so far away alone ^^' If not I will do the tower of the Earth (it's well ?) to see Green Day
spark in the night Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I asked my parents for money to buy tickets.they said yes and bought tickets for me since I dont have a job.the end.
Kimiko Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I asked my parents for money to buy tickets.they said yes and bought tickets for me since I dont have a job.the end. It's a beautiful story
DeathOrGlory Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 i don't really have an interesting story, i'd say scrounging up fourty bucks is more than enough
Kleptomaniac Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I don't really have to do anything cause my mom loves them if I say Green Day is coming she would be like "OMG WE BETTER GET TICKETS" and when I wanted to go for the second time which was 4 hours away they said no at first but I begged for a few days and finally got them:D
crazytalk96 Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 i didnt have to go through any trouble to see them, i got my ticket from my sister for my birthday, adn i hoped on the train that took 45 minutes to get there. the line up was pretty intence tho. it took a 20 minute walk just to find the end of the line.
scumbag Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 not much. well i had to go to gothenburg but i love that city anyway so.
Raspuntinius Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 I went to Denmark.I wish that i went. I'm suppose it was Roskilde?Well my mom and dad would not let me go even though it is only 400 kilometers away! Okay on the other side i'm 16 and would have gone alone.
RegularDecoratedEmergency Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 I killed my parents and fed their bones to next doors dog.It was worth it.Well done. What a devious plan you had there.
