we had this thread like 4 years ago and it turned into like the biggest fight over the internet ive ever seen. it was kind of funny though because this one girl would not shut up and kept saying they were comparable and it was pretty hilarious.

I don't think anyone really thinks that. Most bands are not judged by how difficult their songs are, especially a band like the Beatles. Do you even play an instrument? Do you think Green Day's music is difficult to play? Well, it certainly isn’t, in fact they can be even simpler than The Beatles.

The Beatles actually had real guitar solos; George Harrison was a great player.

Also, Markyfizzle, I am pretty sure I have seen your name from another board. I cannot remember where though.

i used play guitar, bass, drums, alto sax and piano. green day play easy songs. but again, so do the beatles in my opinion

In order to be able to vote in the poll intelligently, you need to know some music history, at least from the early 60's on, so that lets out a lot of people on this board. Not because of their age, but because they haven't bothered to learn about it.

For instance, anyone who says something like, "The Beatles are SO overrated" is someone who doesn't know anything about modern music history.

and i say they are very over rated, and aside from my own knowlege, i have, to get basically free credits at my highschool, taken many different american popular music and moden popular music classes. they are very over rated
