Green Day Doll Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Well, this really quiet kid in my Geometry class likes them. He never talks to anyone, but I got to talking to him on Friday, and I was sorta shocked at his musical taste (it's almost just like mine).Oh, and IDK if this really counts, but my Grandma. She's 80 (be 81 in May), and she clips stuff out about them from her local newspaper and sends it to me.

Before that, the only music I'd been exposed to was what my parent listen too, which was 60's pop and classical... Vivaldi and Green Day are worlds apart. Then I made a point to collect all of Green Days CDs.Now everyone at school knows I like Green Day. There was a poser period at the release of American Idiot, then again between the release of Holiday and Wake Me Up When September Ends singles. Now, my girlfriend, about 3 friends and I are the only Green Day fans...Vivaldi and Green Day are so not worlds apart ; it's all music. Billie Joe listened to everything from Meat Loaf to show tunes when he was writing AI. You shouldn't shut your mind to anything - when you can embrace all of this stuff, it's a fucking blast.

Well needless to say when he came in I had the headphones up as loud as they would go and was working in the kitchen so I did not hear the door and he walked in to find me singing along to "Miority". I suddenly feel someone tap me on the shoulder as I finish the one line. OOPS caught in the act. He told me he liked Green Day as well and that "Minority was one of his favorite songs.

He's frustrating because he gets mad when I play Green Day in the car, and then when I bought their CD's he asked if he could borrow them and copy them. Garrrr! He's a silly boy. And another person who I would least expect is my piano teacher, who is all into classical and christian music and oldies. But she has almost every Green Day song on her ipod. Jeez. I guess they really do reach out to all types of people... Luckliy there are no Billie Joe posers where I live because I'm in Hickville. And they all listen to Christian like my best friend. I used to make her listen to Green Day and I think she pretended to like them. I copied American Idiot for her and gave it to her, but I don't think she's ever listened to it.

I have other friends too that like Green Day. Oh I have another story One of my friends is obsessed with Green Day, but these other two barely knows who they are. So we were in my friends room and I was holding a picture of Billie Joe and she goes "Oh, isn't that the lead singer of American Idiot?" Then this other girl who is a little less clueless said "No, that's Billie Joe Armstrong(as she points to a picture of Mike on the wall)." Then she said "I probably know more about Green Day than anyone else in this room." So I said "TRIVIA! How many kids does he have?" She said "None. How can he have kids? He's only like, 20." It was one of the funniest days ever.

dreaming of her Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 my girl friend always used to bag green day infront of me.. its just not realy the type of music she listend to... so when they were in sydney i bought her a ticket and said she has to learn the songs b4 we went.. she now has no problems with the worlds greatest band// and now i got her a copy of every 1 of there cds..

We have music for the vasectomy patients to listen to during the procedure so they can relax. We have a little of everything. A few have seen my Green Day calendar in the nurses station and have asked if they can hear Green Day during the procedure. We happily oblige. Luckily its the patients of the doctor that likes Green Day. So quite a few vasectomies have been performed to AI.
