and if there wouldnt be that much damn people woh care a bout that shit the life of all famous people would be much easier

Even I was screming like a little school girl when I saw all three of them walking into the arena at the NY Giants Staduim show last September.

We'll remember that one :eyebrows::lol::thumbsup:

I agree - everyone needs their privacy. If I saw Green Day out with their family I would probably leave them to it, and I mean that with every bit of sincerity. I would feel so rude to butt in on them, especially as we all know so well that they don't get to spend much time with their families. I don't like it when the media take covert pictures of people. I have pictures of Green Day and their families, but only ones that they must have approved themselves - i.e. the ones on the documentaries, or the Kids Choice Awards - for the first one, GD must have approved those pictures and for the second, Billie took his family into an environment where he knew they would have photographs taken, therefore he must be ok with that.

i read an article with billie talking about reality tv and his underwear...he likes his privacy no doubt. weird way of showing it tho

Reality tv and his underwear?

Yeah, Billie's underwear is probably better than any of the contestants on American Idol, and has probably led a more interesting life than Britney Spears - although both accommodate assholes. :)

I respect their privacy as human beings, and I (unlike many others) see them as people and not gods (extremely talented and awesome people, but people nonetheless).

I think that we should be respectful, but I mean, they must have had some clue what they were getting into when they decided to sign onto a major label.

What? I don't understand. Are you trying to say dont pretend to be him by making your email billiejoearmstrong@yahoo.com? And what about your friend's email? I think I'll stalk them. :P Or are you saying don't add anyone who has an email billiejoearmstrong@yahoo.com? You're confusing the hell outta me.

i ment they don't have that adress and people pretend to

be them and aren't... like u said

//Gues why i answer... can u have

more boring...

By becoming famous you kinda loose all your privacy anyway...right?

I mean, they probably didnt expect to get so famous but they did anyway, it was a risk they had to take when they first decided to become a band.

Every popstar, sportstar..ect wants some privacy but they're never gonna get it really.

If I saw Billie Joe walking down my street I would probably go out ask for a photo and ect but over obsessive fans should die down a bit...they at least need a bit of privacy...we dont want Billie, Tre or Mike becoming like Kurt Cobain now do we...?

:P

Yeah being famous is going to bring you publicity and stuff but im not going to go hunt them down just to get a picture or an autograph. They are believe it or not normal people like us. They deserve time out of the spot light.

The 'teenies' go to far i think. like saying there 'in love' with one of the members &wanting to email, myspace etc. but yeah. it be cool to talk to them and all and be their friends &all but hey theyre celbs and they do need time away from their fans...but still i know they gotta love us somehow. ANd sumtimes its overwhelming being famous. Like i would wanna be famous. But still i probably would still be shitting in my pants when a huge-ass mob of fans come up to me, ya know. so its the same thing with anyother celb.

not at all, I barge into their home with kegs on a daily basis. They're filing for a restraining order :/

Posted

Yes, I do respect their privacy. They are real people and need to be left alone sometimes. Just like everyone else. :)

Posted

i think they are entitled to privacy just like everybody else, even if they are famous

Posted

yeah if u mean like if i knew theyre phone number or something i wouldnt call it. but as far as aproach them and ask them for a picture i dont think that really qualifys as privacy.

Posted

I totally think they need their privacy, i mean besides the fact that their famous, their people just like you and me, and they should be treated that way.

If they are our in the public, like at shows or whatever, then I think they are totally aware they are going to be swamped with people. Even I was screming like a little school girl when I saw all three of them walking into the arena at the NY Giants Staduim show last September. But it really really bugs me when some people push it to far, like always bugging for their email address', wanting to go visit them at home or whatever.

I think we as fans need to give them as much room for their own private life as possible. They owe us nothing at all, and the time we get to see them in person at concerts should be more than enough for us to ask from them.

I think that as Green Day fans that really like, respect, and care about Green Day and their music, we should be one of the groups that cares the most about giving them their space, and respecting their privacy. They have given me something to look forward to, and something to believe in. I think we pretty much owe them (at LEAST) their privacy. I agree thoroughly(sp) with you Andres

sure i care about their privacy...........i dont need to know

every thing about them, the whole point of me liking them is because

of the music and music only uses the sense of hearing

even though it is interesting to learn more about the people behind the music

Posted

Yeah I do.

They're people too, and deserve privacy like everyone else.

Posted

there human just like us we all want privacy at some stage of our lives and so do they just respect if you dont never know what might happen they might stop recording music and touring and then no one would be happy

Posted

I care and respect green day's privacy. If I was in their position (ha) I wouldnt want anyone stalking me and spying outside my house, and they're just people as we are, so we need to respect that.

Yeah, he was just fucking around.

But I'm really big on giving them their privacy. You'll notice with the new GDA FAQ I wrote up, I mention their privacy a lot.

I agree.

Think about it, if you were famous, would you want people asking for your numbers and address? And asking for kisses and hugs, think about it, they're only human. If you met them would you say "omg it's Billie Joe!! i love you! will you marry me?? can i have a kiss??!" no really would you? or would you say "Hey Billie, Mike and Tre! How are you guys going?". I know everything i've said has nothing to do with their privacy...but meh.

that my scpace thing is a load of bullshit

hmmm yes, I've had a few words with that kid before.

He used to have this one pic that I made in photoshop and posted it here on his "view more pics"

and after a couple minutes of exchanging messages with some rude content he finally gave in and took it off.

dammit I hate seeing those profiles.

I once saw a Joseph Armstrong profile and nearly had a heart attack
