What/Who got you into Green Day?

In about summer 04 yeah, I saw ai video on thehits and i saw (as he was known then) "the drummer" run round the kit and it made me laugh i thought BOBD was great too, but Holiday clinched it. Now i am a HUGE fan with aaaall the albums and they've inspired a few kids to start a band now, which I bet isn't a first for them mind.

i remember being like 4 or 5 and my babysitters son, kyle,who was about 14 at the time, had me listen to "good riddance" and we spent the day listening to it and singing it. from then on i was a green day fan.

At first I didn't like GD because they were in a battle of the bands thing on the radio against my fav band at the time. Well GD won by a lot so I held a grudge against them for a while. Finally I realized I liked their music, and, well, I became OBSESSED!!!

why would you hold a grudge against them if they won???

Probably the T.V. or something, maybe the radio, but I became seriously obsessed after I saw them in concert... I think it was the Bobd video and I was thinking "Why is he singing about walking alone when those other two guys are right there?" and "this is a good song, hey I've heard of Green Day, I think I'll buy their CD... the I got Dookie" then Nimrod, then AI, then the rest in some sort of order.

Well, I think it was after seeing the Bullet in a Bible trailer. Honestly, don't think I'm not as much of a Green Day fan as you. I really am obsessed, and I have all of their albums. I recently got Kerplunk! about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I memorized all the lyrics already. My brain dumps any other information so I can memorize Green Day lyrics in a short length of time. It's not really helpful when you have a test. Ah..well...sacrifice.

I got myself into green day. The first time i heard When i come around on the radio i was hooked. I think it was 1994 or 1995, not sure.

I think it started when couple guys screamed basketcase at school and it sounded pretty familiar. Then somebody told me that it was Green Days song. Couple months after I saw American Idiot on tv and I bought AI. Then I bought Dookie, Warning, nimrod, 1,039/smoothed etc. Like that.

I got Dookie from my parents just around the time American Idiot came out. Then a while later I got Nimrod and International Superhits at the same time and shortly after I got American Idiot and Bullet in a Bible together... Then I got Warning, Shenanigans and Insomniac.

about a year and h half ago i was in my brothers car with him, and he had AI on and i loved it i especially loved JOS and AI. i looked up the words when i got home and watched the video for AI and i was absolutely amazed. i loved the flag and the different speeds. then bout a month later i looked up all their older music and now i have all their cds and a few posters.

mm my sistert played me them when she got ISH but i didnt OVERLY like it, i thought it was ok

but i REALLY got into them when this guy i like played me WMUWSE (not long after the album came out). i bummed off that song so much i got hte album.
