I told my dad about my new found favourite band and he came back fom work the following day with a battered tape of 'International Superhits'. I thought it was the best album I'd ever heard. I then got it on CD and bougth Dookie etc....There's my life story

When she got back she called and said i had to come over so i did. she then made me listen to them. i loved them, so we would listen to that cd over and over for about 5-6 hours. we then became obssed with them, saying nothing unless it was Green Day. And here we are now still obssed

Universal_Girl1 Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 It's really weird how I got into Green Day.I was jealous of a friend cause she always into watching MTV and listening to really kool rock music. I never watch MTV cause it's just full of crappy shows and crappy music. The point is she said she heard a song of this "new" band called Green Day. She would talked about everyday for like a week saying how she wanted to buy their CD when it came out. I decided to beat her to it. I went over to K-mart to buy it and couldn't cause I needed to have someone over 18 years to buy it. Urg! Anyway I went again with my grandma (yeah I live with my grandma) and the frigging cashier told my grandma that the CD contained "bad" lyrics. I was just about to kill her. :starwars: Anyway I finally bought the CD. When I first heard it I said "Arg! This was a waste of money! This music sucks!" Then I pulled out the little booklet with the lyrics (I didn't undertand what Billie Joe sang at first) and started reading the lyrics and just fell in love with them. I remember that my favorite song at first was Letterbomb.I listened to the album everyday.Then American Idiot wasn't enough. I needed more. I began by buying Warning (which I loved), then went to Amazon.com and ordered Dookie and Nimrod (I had never heard any song in these albums before... I just went with my gut and said to myself that I'd learn to like them), then I found Insomniac. By a strange miracle, K-mart was selling 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and I obviously bought it. Shenanigangs I remember I bought it in a small music store in another town. International Superhits I never bought cause I really didn't see the point since I had all their albums already (I just downloaded Maria and Poprocks and Coke). The only album I don't own is Kerplunk! I've been very bumped out cause I really want it but... oh well. I downloaded it anyway. I still want it though. Anyway that's my story.**wonders if anyone is going to read all that**

But yea liked them since basket caseI went over to K-mart to buy it and couldn't cause I needed to have someone over 18 years to buy it. You have to have someone whos 18 with you to bu a cd with parental warnign label on it how gay we can buy it anyage and dont even get told or warned or asked for age
