What/Who got you into Green Day?

I remember it was just like 'BAM' in the middle of all these pop and hip hop songs. Then I realised Holiday (on the radio) was also Green Day, and I was hooked.

I was about 12 when i borrowed a friends mixed cd and heard When i come around. I just remember hearing BJ's voice and falling in love..... Idk it was something different i was instantly hooked and loved it...gah im such a dweeb

I downloaded Boulevard Of Broken Dreams the 1st of June 2005, but I didn't know them! I didn't know they were Green Day.

It was in 2007 (yes, I know, I was late), in my city, there was a festival and a tribute band to Green Day was playing... I thought it was okay.

A couple of days later, one of my friend brought me a cd with various artists and Good Riddance & American Idiot were on here... I immediatly felt in love with those songs!

It's how I have began to like Green Day...

Now; I know all songs, I know all stories, I know all about the band,the bandmembers .. and so on..

And there are some guys,who think that Im not a real Green Day Fan,just because im a fan for such short time.

I've always listened to Green Day cause my dad played it around the house a lot. But Oct of 05 I visited my cousin and she was like showing me videos and all that fun stuff and I just fell in love.

I was 7, late warning era.

I was going to school when I saw I think, a KROQ or a 98.7 billboard with billie on it. I thought he was cute. So since the billboard was across from my school, I asked my friend what band was be in. He said it was green day. So I imediatly searched them and saw the minority video. I was hooked.

It's sad that I gotta thank billies face for making me search green day up. . Oh my.

One of my friends from school was looking for someone to go to their concert with back in '05 and asked me if I wanted to go. Despite not knowing much about them at the time, I agreed and got a ticket.

Prior to the show, I only knew of Good Riddance and the singles off American Idiot.

The rest is history

Time of Your Life, Wake me Up, and Boulevard were constantly playing on the radio when I figured I had to get one of their CDs, first one being American Idiot!

My friend (kingforadaySHOUT) told me about GD as she was already addicted and had been for years. I listened and liked them but it wasn't till after I saw them in concert I became fanatic =S

I had listened to some American Idiot songs, but never bothered to look futher into GD until my friend Emma asked me to learn Last Night on Earth on guitar. I bought the song on ITunes and fell in love with it. I bought the rest of the album, then Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac and so on and so on until I got all the albums, and eventually went and saw them last year @ the Acer Arena, Sydney. And ever since, I have loved Green Day to pieces!

I was really random when I was in 7th grade and was like "I want the American Idiot album by Green Day for my birthday:D" and my aunt got it for me. After also getting my first ipod I was hooked. I started getting all their albums and shirts like crazy.

Now I own every album by them and since I just turned 18 in August, I will be getting my first tattoo soon and it will be dedicated to Green Day :')
