Leah-tard Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 My brother's friend let him burn a butt load of CD's. Dookie and Nimrod were in them and I listened to them, liked them, and became a fan.
GuitarPlayer5 Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I started playing guitar and I decided to learn alot of Green Day songs.
punkbtch03 Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 well, actually it was back in 94'so like 13 years ago?i was really little and my sisters room was right by mine, and she would BLAST it through the wall..i grew up with the stuff, ever since its been my life support.
GD Addicts Anonymous Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I was about 6 or 7 when I first heard Good Riddance, and I liked it. I remember seeing the video back then, but I didn't know who they were. Then along came American Idiot, and I saw that video on TV. I liked it, but I never wanted to buy that CD until I saw Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Then I knew I had to get it. I bought it, loved it, became a fan, and bought the rest of their CDs. I have all 10 now, and I got OCGDD.

Doll Parts Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I heard Blvd of Broken Dreams on the radio in my English class and I really liked it. That night Green Day were on SNL and I fell in love with them. The next day I bought American Idiot and, shortly after, I bought the rest of their albums.
waninko Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 This may sound a bit mean but, I had this uncle which was mean and scary. He would follow you around, not saying anything, just follow you. Not close up but from a distance, trying to hide or "act normal" when you turned around, and when you talked to him he'd just stare at you, make a face, and just stand there. He also kicked a cat to death.. but thats a different story, nothing to do with me... So he was generally mean and scary. I didn't dare to leave the house alone when I knew he was around. Well, a few years ago he died. Of course I was a bit sad, but also (Don't hate me for this ) a bit happy..so a couple days later I found this song on limewire called "Ha Ha You're Dead". That was my first GD song, and I was hooked
calvin GD Slave Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 My dad he listened to WMUWSE And BOBD And American idot
Guest bugmenot Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 My dad got me into green day. He bought the dookie CD when it came out, and he gave it to me, thinking that it would just be a cool CD for me to listen to. But he was dead wrong... I loved it so much, I got the rest of their CD's in the next 2 months! and now he's like crap, your green day knoledge is so annoying!
hardtoconcentrate Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Nobody else got me into Green Day. It was nearly 9 years ago now so all my friends were into the Spice Girls and my siblings all loved crappy rave music. I seen When I Come Around on tv and fell in love with them...
Mato Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 When I was younger (9 years old), I was playing game BMX xxx on my PS2, and I heard Basket Case which was in the game soudtrack. And I was amazed. Couple of years later, when American Idiot came out, I heard Blvd. Of Broken Dreams, and I was, like, blown away! Soon, I noticed that Basket Case was also Green Day song. I bought Dookie... ...uff... ...amazing!!! Then I started to buy all of the albums and became a fan. So, I got myself in Green Day.

Kahlan Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I heard 'waiting' on the radio, and I liked it. I knew them earlier, but I haven't any obsession (dunno why. ) After all I really got into GD thanks to my best friend - Morgaine.
