What/Who got you into Green Day?

My dad and his band, he always had a mix cd in his car of songs they played, and it had loads of hits from dookie and such, this was quite a few years before I knew a lot about them, I didn't know their name but demanded those tracks to be played in the car over and over again!

I got into green day by mistake... A friend of mine had to go to her mother's goddaughter's party and she couldn't choose a present for her. So my friend's brother bought dookie to help her. But that girl didn't want dookie so my friend kept it. And, yeah....

My friend burnt a CD for me and one of their songs was on it. That's what got me hooked.

My parents are the ones that got me into Green Day. My dad had all of the albums and we would always listen to them. But as I got older I really started to love them! I watched the 2005 VMA'S and I was like "These guys really fucking are amazing!" I've been on a roll ever since.

Two of my friends and I threw a New Years party a week after New Years and one of my friends bought all her Green Day CD's. She had all of them, and I ended up listening to them and really liking them so I went out the next day and bought American Idiot.

It must have been the start of 2005 when all the radios and T.V stations were playing them, but I didn't listen to the radio or watch any music channels so I had never heard of them. I honestly must have been the last person in NZ to hear American Idiot.

I first lstend to Green Day when i was 5 yrs old.

I have been a fan ever since. I'm now 16 and still a fan!!!
