What/Who got you into Green Day?

I was up late one night with my mum watching TV.

And Jesus of Suburbia came on Chanel V

So i said, "Hey mum, look i like this clip'

and we watched all of it.

And then for christmas

she got me Bullet in a Bible

and i was shocked.

I never ever thought of getting that

and then the obsession grew bigger and BIGGER from then on

my friend, nicole, introduced me to Green Day

then i began to love their music

we met at camp and she was like" do you like green day?" and I was all "Eh, theyre okay" cuz I hadnt heard much. of course thatgot her started on many fabulous stories about them and she didnt rest untill I was as obsessed with she was, and let me say, at the time, the girl was OBSESSED.

we spent a fun filled summer listening to green day, playing really really horrible games of would you rather, and discussing possibilities of gay sex.

Someone at my school was watching the Blvd. of Broken Dreams video and I liked it. So I bought American Idiot, also loved that. So then I bought all their albums, and now they're my favourite band.

God, how the hell should I know. But all I know is that that lead me to MCR which lead to Blink 182 which lead to the offspring, which lead to Marilyn Manson, which lead to Rob Zombie, which lead to P!nk, which then lead to The Fray. Yeys, my natives gone big...... Then that lead to Single File, lead to 30 seconds to mars, which lead to Foo Fighters, and finally landed on Jimmy Eat World. Holy fuck, I probably just wasted a good portion of your time.

Wow, the music genres in that are totaly diffrent each time.

well...i didnt hear of Green Day til they came out with American Idiot so when i got that cd i was instantly hooked

my cousin used to live with us, and she used to play nimrod (when it was new) everyday when she came home from work (she was about 21). What was worse was that I couldn't escape it because we shared a room, so I resented them until I was about 12, then I go into them.

So, I guess myself, because my cousin gave no help.

Well... My friend started to get obsessed with Green Day a little more than a year ago... And she wanted me to come along, apparently...

Well, I was curious to begin with, so she was going to let me borrow her International Superhits! CD... That night, though, I ended up staying at her house. So, we stayed up and she decided we should watch the Bullet in a Bible DVD...

At first I didn't like Green Day... Probably because I didn't want to. Because I thought my parents would disapprove... Well, they do, but now, like, a year later, I am obsessed, and I couldn't care less what my parents thought.

But my friend was the one who got me into Green Day.

^^ Do your parents deside what kind of music your alloved to like?? :/ When I got into Green Day, my mom did'nt really care... It's music, and i'm not that obsessed that I would do everything that other people do, so i don't see why she should care... But, hey. that's me.. ;P

my uncle lives in oakland hes 33 but when green day done gelaman street he was there so he had all there old eps so he send slappy over 4 years ago so i kinda liked the tracks of there and that was the start but i was only 8 so i didnt really go further till american idiot when i was 10 and it took of from there
