theres this show on tv where they have reenactments (sp?) of real-life emergencies, and there was this one episode where this paramedic dude had to keep this severaly injured woman distracted while they waited for more help and he asked what music she liked and she said "green day". and the paramedic was like "ive never heard of them"

Vh1 almost all the time plays Green Day songs as background music. And once MadTv did a Super Sweet 16 spoof which was about Bobby's birthday and he wanted Green Day to play at his birthday party.
