Green Daynger25 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Well, I was never into music when I was little, but I was at my friends house and I seen basketcase, and Tom Petty's video You Don't know How It feels.' (94ish-95ish) I loved Basketcase so much I recorded it off the radio and had it 6 times on one tape. My friend traded me his brothers Dookie for my Mega Man X Super Nintendo game and later got the game back. Then I got Kerplunk, Insom, 1,039 and the rest as they were released. I seen them only 4 times. Pop Disaster in Kansas City04 in Cincinatti05 St. Louis05 Kansas CityFave Album-WarningFave song-Android

spark in the night Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 saw them onceSept. 11, 2005 Detroitfan since 2004 or when I first saw the American Idiot music video
Watoosh Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 i liked a couple of their songs when i was in elementary school without knowing it was green day, but i actually started listening to them when i was 12 after i saw them live at the pop disaster tour (i liked blink 182 a lot at the time and went to see them). then i bought international superhits and a while after that i bought kerplunk, dookie, insomniac, nimrod, and warning with the money that my mom and olive oil gave me for suveniers when i went to florida in 8th grade. they were my favorite bands for a while after that. a year or two. somewhere in there i got shenanigans and 1039 smoothed out slappy hours and waited forever for their new album to come out. then it did and i didn't like it, but i still went to see them in november 2004 with nathan, kaelen, and butttt. that was only like, 17 months ago. it seems like forever ago though. me and nathan had just started going out...

Watoosh Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 aww . . . isn't that special . . . you should make a movie out of itthat would be a boring movie... besides, 2/3 of my cast members bailed on me forever ago.saw them onceSept. 11, 2005 Detroitfan since 2004 or when I first saw the American Idiot music videoi was gonna go to that concert, but i got in trouble and had to give up one concert so i chose to see the unseen and a global threat instead.

JunkiexHeart Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I only listen to Insomniac anymore.I used to think Green Day were fucking amazing. And now, they just make no impression on me whatsoever.
ShutTheFuckUp! Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I've NEVER seen them, and you can't even imagine how much i want to.But it'll probably never happen, because Green Day are not coming to perform in Israel, and i bet that they never will. The first songs that i listened to were from Dookie. My sister listened to Green Day pretty much alot, and i got hooked up.Never knew the names of the songs, though, until i became a REALLY big fan. when i was young, i thought that Green Day were this band that i saw on MTV that the musicians in it had green hair Well, i think i'm a fan, since i heard Basket Case and other songs from Dookie, when my sister listened to them. i'm not sure, but i think it was in 2004. so i'm a fan for about 2 years.Ive only seen them twice live ... but one of them was at the Milton Keynes gig. If you check out the Bullet in a Bible DVD you'll see me and my Green-hair mam being interviewed. I have to say that was the best day of my life ... so far =]So... your name is Zoey, isn't it?
Get Stoked! Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 eep! Hi to the person who just asked if my name was zoe ... yes it is. youve seen me then?? =D
st.billie Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Fan since: round november 041st song: BOBD1st record: AIFav record: Kerplunk, InsomniacFav songs: Words I Might Have Ate, Pulling Teeth, Green Day, In The End, Desensitized...Seen them: neverAlthough my first GD cd was AI, i prefer older stuff. it's kinda lame cause i never knew about GD before AI, but it kinda seems to me everything they did after Nimrod wasn't GD. i used to adore them, but i kinda realised there are lots of bands as good as them if not better. anyways, they are (still) my fav band
ShutTheFuckUp! Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 eep! And the fact that she has green hair... damn, she IS cool! Times seen and talk with them: 1Where: MTV awardsFan since: EVER! You actually talked to them?!Ugh. you're so lucky.
Chérie Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 uhm my "love story" with Green Day started in 1994, when I was 7, I was at my friend's home and she had Dookie on the desk, I started looking at it, she said me "get it if you want, my brother doesn't like it". Then I brought it at home and started listening to the first tape, Burnout, in that moment i understood I've found my band for all my life. My favourite albums are Dookie, Warning and Nimrod but I loved too SOSH and Kerplunk.Favourite Songs: they change very often, at the moment Misery and Blood, Sex and Booze...but i have tons of others i loveSeen them live: only one time at the Heineken Jammin' Festival...best day ever
Get Stoked! Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 haha thankyou!! I look like a bit of a tard though because I just stand there and say nothing! It was soo scared!! haha my mams accent ... well the "geordie" accent is seen as a bit common where I come from haha!!

Undone Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Discovered the band in either 93 or 94, whenever the NME came up with the brainwave of giving away freebie tapes with Basket Case on.Seen live: Reading 95, 2001, 2004, Wembley once, Hammersmith Apollo twice, Astoria twice and the MK Bowl.I saw them once at, I think it was Reading Festival in early 90's. It's a kind of blurry memory. Sounds very much like 95, but then mine's a similar memory
