TKR_92 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Never Seen Them Live :verymad: 1st Cd InternNational Superhits Fan Sence ... Summer 04
Jamie311 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 My Green Day History...everything I can think of! I have been a fan since 1994 (I was 12). When I first heard Longview I was hooked. I bought Dookie the week it was released. From then on, I bought every album (except ISH). My favorite album is American Idiot with a close second being Nimrod. My favorite song...that's hard to say... I would guess favorite of all time is SHE I remember being so hooked on that song that I listened to it a few dozen times a day and Once I made my classmates play it while we were listening to music during class. It was an ORDER!! Some close runner ups for favorite song... Hitchin' a Ride Jesus of Suburbia Castaway Blood sex and Booze Words I might have Ate All By Myself FOD Platypus Take Back Brainstew/jaded (they ALWAYS have to come together!) King For a Day ...I could go on forever... Album I listen to the least shenanigans Favorite song to hear live: Hitchin' a Ride ( I Just LOVE IT!!! Major rush!!) Seen them live once (waited 11 years to do so and it was WELL worth the wait!) The day before I went to see them I was stricken with the worst period (sorry guys) and the worst pain in the world and it lasted all through the day of the concert...so bad that I was near passing out most of the time...but I WOULD NOT have let that stop me from seeing them. I went to the show and had my friend carry smelling sauce with her incase I passed out. I am glad to say I did not, and infact the entire time they played I felt no pain! When I was 12 I had a friend cut a picture of Andrew Keegan (I think) out of a magazine for me to put in my locker...when she gave it to me I realized that on the back there was a picture of Billie Joe so I put that in my locker instead. I have a job in which I have to be fairly conservative...to deal with the strain of that I listen to Green Day all day on my MP3 player...if my co-workers could hear what I was hearing they would certainly be mortified! I get some strange joy from thinking that! I also ware a green day ring every day except when I am at work due to trying to be conservative, but as soon as I get off work I put it on. I refuse to look at the pictures on my Green Day calendar ahead of time...I anxiously await the end of the month so I can change the month and see the next picture (although I know I have seen all of them before online) .....
x Dearly Beloved Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Times seen - Twice Where - Texas and California Fan since - 1998 or 1999
xBasKetxCaSex Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 I saw them once and actually was only allowed to go cause my neighbors guilted my mom into letting me. -Sept 1st in East Rutherford I've been a fan since... seventh grade (2003) which is reletively decent being that i was only a fan of music for a year before that. I downloaded just about all 8 full albums in one day after my computer got erased (before that i just had some random songs from various albums).. the only album i bought was AI. but i bought it after i had the other ones. I have 134 of their songs on one CD I have All of their Videos on my computer along with 100% Green Day, and some appearances by them on other shows. yea.. thing. people think im obsessive... they're just weird. cause after meeting you people i've learned the true meaning of obsession
Oh_Botha Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 I've been a "fan" since I was 2. I've been a fan since I was 11. I've yet to see them, but I'm going to their next tour for sure. I remember seing BOBD on TV and being like "Why are there two other guys walking with him if he's saying he's walking alone? They're just these random people there." Ha! I wish I knew to punch myself in the face then. Now, it would be like "WTF?! MIKE AND TRE AREN'T IN THE VIDEO!? DON'T MAKE ME TAKE OUT MY FLAMETHROWER!" Or something like that... Oh, and I remember my dad telling me all of their names, and I was like "No, his name isn't Billie Joe." It just sounded like a name my dad made up on the spot. Like, Billie Joe Armstrong. Y'know? Whatever. Now it's an awesome name.

The Doctor Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Well, I've been a fan since my 11th birthday, when my best friend bought me Dookie and International Superhits. From there, I've bought (in this order) Shennanigans, Nimrod, Insomniac, Kerplunk!, 1039/Smooth, and finally Warning for my birthday last year (2004) and American Idiot for Christmas 2004 (quite an odd order, I suppose). I've only seen them live once, Milton Keynes 19th June, and the first Green Day song I learnt on the guitar was Walking Alone. My favourite album is Nimrod, and my favourite songs are Reject, She, Coming Clean, 86, and Jackass. I aim to see them live a lot more, I can't wait for the nexy album, and I'm pretty damn excited about the AI movie.
