Parents' Music Interests , do they like Green Day?

My dad, doesn't really have a real favorite kin of music. My mum likes a lot of stuff. She likes some Green Day songs, but after I play them too much she hates hearing about them, and then I catch her listening to them 10 minutes later. It's weird and confusing :/

Well I took my Mum to the Green Day's 2nd night in Melbourne and she know loves Green Day, epically Mr Dirnt XD

My parents both have good tastes in music though. I grew up with The Cure, The Who, Elton John, David Bowie, Queen, Public Image and some Sex Pistols here and there.

I was raised by the classics and grew to love a classic band!

My Mum is really supportive of my love for Green Day She's always said that she's glad I like them because "I don't think I could put up with any if that other shit they listen to " The only problem is that she doesn't like Insomniac or any of the pre-Dookie songs, but oh well, I just don't put those songs on in the car and everyone's happy. Dad is also fairly supportive, he really likes BOBD, Holiday and Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl) so I always put those songs on when I'm in the car with him

My mum likes Green Day coz of me, but she likes a range of different stuff: Alison Moyet, Elvis Costello, Dean Martin, ACDC, Hot Chocolate, Bay City Rollers...

My dad got me into Green Day, he likes all classic rock, Pink Floyd, Motorhead, Alice Cooper, ACDC, Yes, Budgie, Deaf School, Golden Earring, Rose Tattoo, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, King Crimson...i could go on!

My parents like Green Day in that my mum has the whole of American Idiot on her non-iPod, and my dad is responsible for buying American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, inadvertently introducing them to me as well. He also has Basket Case on his non-iPod.

Otherwise, my mum has mostly 70s and 80s stuff such as David Bowie, and my dad likes bands like The Killers, Angels & Airwaves, Rush, that sort of thing. Interestingly, he also likes My Chemical Romance.

My mom likes Green Day. Her favorite song is Misery and she makes me play it SO FUCKING much for her. She had me load up a bunch of their songs onto her iphone. She's gone to two Green Day shows with me and she had a really good time both times! I even talked her into wearing my Bullet in a Bible shirt. But she doesn't like any other "punk" type music. The only other music we have in common is stuff like the Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc. Stuff she grew up with. She even saw Pink Floyd play and I'm mad jealous.

My dad doesn't like Green Day AT ALL. My mom does...but she only knows the more popular songs. She sings and dances to them if she hears me playing them. Kinda strange...but at least she likes them? Hahaha.

My dad has a pretty amazing taste in music, which makes him like Green Day too He likes the Beatles, the Beach Boys, the Who etc. (That 60's Stuff which was popular in his childhood) , and when he was on a Green Day Concert with me 2 years ago he said, that he would like their music and that he could feel, that they enjoy what they do, which made him really like them

My mum, ugh.. She has no real taste in music, she doesn't care for any kind of it, she listens to what is played on the radio, that's it.. Pretty lame.

But both of them "support" me, my dad more, my mum less, but at least they would understand the importance of driving me to a Green Day concerte if I want to, no matter where in Germany it is

None of my parents really likes Green Day, but my dad seems kind of proud, that I do and not pop and RnB. I grew up learning from him that Bohemian Rhapsody is the best song in the world

My mom likes Depeche Mode. She doesn't like Green Day but she LOVES Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

None of my parents likes Green Day. My dad likes Queen, Phil Collins, classic music, Yes, U2, etc.

My mom likes Green Day. Usually she doesn't mind most of the music I listen to especially because I would play it in the house so she just got used to it. She also think BJA is cute XD so yeah she's cool with it.

When I started to listen to Green Day my parents didn't like them cause they was assured that I'll change the band for 1 year. But now it's 6 year since I love them, and my parents like Green Day too. My dad (he doesn't live with us nowadays) loves their new songs, my mom like them too and she always laughs at Billie Joe cause he has crooked teeth . hah and she loves to know what's going in their Green World and what Billie had tweeted.

theyre kindof forced to listen to it my mom is alrgith with it and always says the drums are great we sing it together in the car. my dad is alright with it, but doesnt really listen outside of what i make him listen to. dad's partner likes them which is really weird because she seems like the type of person who green day would be taboo to. she also called them 'easy listening' so i think shes probably confusing them with someone else

Currently, I dont think they would put on a Green Day album themselves, but if i've got them playing they dont complain.

Mum has said she wouldnt mind seeing them live so I've decided when they tour Australia again I'll get mum and her sister seated tickets.

Ok, flip the coin. I am a parent. Of 3 children. My eldest is 13. All my kids like Greenday. My eldest is very heaviliy influenced by my musical taste. I play bass guitar. I listen to many different bands. From Greenday to Slipknot to The Black Pacific (pure punk) So if you asked my son if his parents like Greenday, categorically the answer would be HELLYEAH!!
