Parents' Music Interests , do they like Green Day?

My parents are really into James Taylor. We all went to see him play in London; it was a great show and we were pretty much at the front, but sat down in seats. It felt weird going to a concert without jumping around everywhere!

They also like some Green Day songs, like my Mum likes Wake Me Up and my Dad loves Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

My dad is into Deep Purple, R.E.M., Boney M. My mother actually really likes Green Day and also Elvis, John Denver, Tears For Fears, UB40.

I don't even think my father really cares about Green Day, aha. I kind of like it better that way..

My Dad listens to everything, and he does enjoy Green Day on occasion, but Sometimes he doesn't play it because He know I'll come out with my guitar and play it

My mum likes bands like Queen, Guns 'n' Roses ...ect. She likes Pat Benatar or Muse ( Thanks to my bro), Since i'm listening Green Day she likes them. The rest of my family exept my bro don't like my music like my dad.

Well, like others, i like punk rock and gd's newer stuff. but my mom hates gd like hell!!! urgh She doesn't like music at all.!!!

My parents don't mind Green Day. They like classic rock mainly and can't stand hip hop/RnB, so same as me really.

Dad, recognises most Green Day songs as soon as they start and often comments on Tre being a great drummer

my dad knows BOBD's by heart.......mainly because for the entire summer of 2005 thats all my parents heard playing on the car radio every single day :rolleyes: .....by now they're pretty much synonymous with Green Day and can recognize their music when they come on.....

but my mom hates Chocolate Rain, Dominated Love Slave, Like A Rat Does Cheese and pretty much any Tre material.....lol...she thinks his stuff is disgusting..... :lol:

yup, they like them a lot. my dad went w/ me to their concert when i saw them the first time, and the 2nd time they both went haha. they think they're really talented.

im not sure whether my parents hate them more , or the other girls in my school. actually that was a dumb thought, because all the rest of the girls in my school are justin bieber zombies. i guess my parents dont mind green day, but dissaprove of swearing and other crap that i really don't give a damn about.

My moms a floater she likes all types of music, I guess that's why I'm so open when it comes to music....but we have different taste. She likes Madonna a lot..I can respect her as an artist but I'm not a fan of her music.

My mom is a HUUUGE Green Day fan. I was the one who first played some of their music for her (probably off American Idiot, although I can't recall what the first song actually was), and she's been hooked ever since. xD Makes it much easier to share my obsession with someone, rather than keeping it all to myself. We also share pretty much the same tastes when it comes to other bands. She's actually got an account on GDC, somewhere.

My dad's also a fan! It took me a little while to, ahem, convert him, but now he's hooked as well. He likes their newer stuff more than, say, the Dookie-Insomniac era, but that's okay. The only other band besides them he really listens to is the Beatles, so I'm proud to have gotten him to a point where he has ANOTHER favorite band.

Oh, and I'm going to my GD show with both of them, haha. xD

My mum likes there music, but she absolutly hates all gay/bi males and females. I think its so stupid, there is nothing different about them their stil humans they just choose to be a lil different. So she dosent like the boys at all, anytume i mention them shes like 'they like it up the ass' !! Im like what the #### that dont mean anything look how talented these guys are. oh man i hate her for that, there is nothing wrong about gay/bi people.

my dad listens 2 a lotta music, and some bands that he likes (the only ones that i know and the cool ones) are Metallica, Guns n' roses, Van Halen and a lot of others :eyebrow:

My Dad Listens to anything including crap music. My Mum on the other hand use to buy loads of Queen Vinyls which means she likes rock music the best. She also likes Green Day too and so im really happy
