Parents' Music Interests , do they like Green Day?

My mother has a pretty good taste, but I'm not really in music like A-Ha or smth like that

Anyway she can listen to GD with me but no longer than a couple of songs

But she likes Holiday

My parents love Green Day. My Mother thinks they're the sex and my Dad loves the music.

As a whole, it's me and my Dad who have the closest music taste. He likes The Clash, The Damned, The Pistols, stuff like that and Elvis, whilst my Mum is a huge pop fan, she likes Mika and Take That

But they're cool with the music I listen to, fortunately.

My mom loves classic rock stuff which is bearable but then she used to listen to country a lot. But my mom isn't really a music kind of person so she is annoyed by any music really.

My mom and I barely like the same bands because she hates music more in general. Only stuff like AC/DC which is kind of middle ground between us.

my mom likes what few green day songs she's heard but she hasn't heard any explicit ones. my dad isn't around enuff to care about the music i like.

as for their general interest in music: my mom likes jazz and christian music and my dad likes classic rock.

and in the car when a song like that comes on i try to change it really quick before she hears it but she

turns it back and starts singing, I mean the song its self is annoying enough but she just makes it worse....

Sounds like both my parents, least the Arabic Music part, they like it too and not the newer Arabic music though the older stuff that they grew up listening too

they just like classic spanish music.

It's quite easy with my parents ... they let me listen every kind of music i want to, my dad did just sometimes make fun out of me when i was into britney spears .. yeah, that was 6 years ago, so .. i was 10 ;D

my parents listen to a lot of jazz, but my dad listened to a lot of hardrock and stuff in his youth.

well, and i#m very thankful that they never made me listen to radio, here in germany every station#s playing mostly not good music ;D

My mom likes Green Day. She actually went with me when they came to Buffalo it was fun! but i kinda irritates me when we are driving and listening to a song that i like and she skips it because she says it sounds like a bunch of noise... :/ but thats because she keeps the stereo on at a low volume...:sigh:

My mom is in her 90s and only listens to gospel. If she heard a GD song, she would think that Satan is alive and well and living in the radio.... oh and in me, too. :devil:

My dad was a bit cooler, but he would never listen to a band like GD. He was into acts like Bobby Blue Bland and more blues and soul. Unfortunately he passed away in 2006, but I always liked his taste in classic soul.

My mum loves Green Day just as much as I do. She's desprate to come to the concert in October with me x3 I'd say she got me into Green Day, Blink and The Offspring because she used to play them alot when I was younger Aside from that she likes 80s music and other rock bands.

My step dad doesn't really like Green Day that much, I think he admitted to liking JOS a few years ago though. He likes 80s stuff and bands like Snow Patrol, Glasvegas and Coldplay. He got me into Glasvegas <3

My parents are strange. Other than The Beatles & Cyndi Lauper, I don't really know what my mum likes. Bits of everything really. Her partner has a pretty good music taste, but he can be pretty close minded sometimes. On my birthday I took 21stCB to their place, he played a few songs and said he liked them, then the next day he was bagging me out cos I'm traveling for them when they tour here. I think he's just shit stirring though.

My dad always sings Green Day, especially Holiday for some reason, haha. He's never really said whether he likes them or not. I'll ask him today when I go to his house. I think it's just because he hears me playing it so often, I don't think he'd ever choose to put it on himself. He likes a pretty wide variety too..

My mother dosen't like my music, she's just listening to country and stuff like that. But my daddy! He's awesome! He listening to punk and metall. He introdused me to Green Day when Nimrod came out (I was 3), he gave it to me because I wanted it so much But we didn't buy any new GD cd before American Idiot came. Daddy didn't listening so much to American Idiot before last year, and now he use to borrow it from me... It's a little irritating, but nice too, because we can talk about them together He also listening to the other bands that I'm listening to, and I'm listening to some of the bands that he's listening to.

My Mum doesn't really like too much of Green Day's old stuff but she loves American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, especially 21 Guns and she likes Basket Case as well. Good Riddance is one of her favorite songs.

My Dad doesn't really like Green Day that much but he always sings Holiday and he likes Good Riddance as well. He likes ACDC, The Violent Femmes, Queen and a few others.

My parents didn't grow up in America, so they listen to music from their country.

Since I play Green Day so much, pretty much all my family is annoyed with them.

I remember once I was listening to Minority and my dad got really really mad at the lyrics.

And he got mad that Billie Joe was masturbating on stage and that I was watching it.

My parents and I have very different taste in music. My Dad loves country, ballad, and anything non-rock/non-hip-hop&rap music, but Green Day's somewhat growing on him, and my Mom loves Barry Manilow.
