Parents' Music Interests , do they like Green Day?

My mom lieks some green day.

Mostly just american idiot.

But she said about billie "He has a really good voice but he's not much to look at"

So basically she thinks Billie is ugly.

She also thinks mike looks like hes in his 50s and that Tre' is weird and likes to stand out.

But yeah.

My dad hates green day and so does my bro.

My dad liek peopel like Pink Floyd, Journey, Elton John adn people like that.

My mom likes those people too and she likes country.

But atleast she likes some green day.

He says green day and blink 182 and the other bands i like are all "emo" music.

Then my sister who lives in another state, loves rap and liek 1 country song.

My parents love Green day ... dad fav song is wake me up when september ends and my mom loves american idiot but once my mother said i hate these songs when i was listening to Kerplunk I was like : fuck her ... Myy mom fancies Beejay and i fancy Tré but he only prob is she doesn't no who Tré is ... that sucks I'm reallly upset because of her ignorance

My dad: Has only really listened to the songs on the AI cd when it comes to Green Day. And some of the music he likes is pretty good. But he prefers to stay in the past for music. Some things he likes I don't, but he does like awesome bands like Queen and The Clash. But what does my dad think about the guys in Green Day? Well he hasnt said anything about Mike or Tre, but he did say Billie looked a bit scary in the BOBD video.

My mom: She's mainly an everything person. She doesn't have a favorite genre. But she doesn't songs from past anymore like my dad. She does like some Green Day songs, but she prefers the new Green Day. She doesn't really like anything "too punk" (her words). But like I said in another thread, it's funny seeing her sing along to Welcome To The Black Parade. And my mom has told me that there's nothing special about Billie except that his eyes are really pretty.

My parents love GD. My dad's really into all the alt rock/punk stuff (he introduced me to GD!) and mom loves all their stuff. When we play one of their CDs in the car, she sings along! Her favorite song is Misery. Plus, she thinks Billie's cute

my parents are really cool when it comes to music def my mum. u know more rock then punk but she likes modern bands like green day, some blink 182, jet, the living end, jimmy eat world etc american idiot is always in the car. my mum loves bon jovi, ac/dc, some rhcp, village people, the beatles, the rolling stones, REM. we donot have fights over the radio because i gave up listening to the hit stations. we listen to triple m moslty who are having their essential 2006 countdown, the're counting down from 2006 and green day have come in at 1862:minority, 1735: hitchin a ride, 965:when i come around, 909:jos 548:holiday, 273:american idiot thats all so far but last year good riddance came in at number 6

My parents and Green Day... hmm...

They have always been massive fans since Dookie came out here.

Mum used to tape their songs off the radio until dad bought home Dookie then it was 'woah. look out'.

At my mums house now you can find Green Day posters all over our house, its pretty rad. And now just like me, half the time the only thing that will get my little sister to sleep is a Green Day CD, but unlike me - hers is American Idiot and not Dookie.

And yeah, my dad. The only 'pop-punk' band he ever likes/d. But then again he's a metal head so its surprising he even likes them at all. But I guess he kinda had to with mum being a super fan back then and now me.

So yeah, they love Green Day.

Yeah my mom basically likes what I like, plus Tom Jones. She liked the Ramones, ACDC, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Queen, The Rolling Stones, basically old rock. Now she likes AFI, Green Day and some My Chemical Romance, The Offspring, etc. If I'm playing it, she'll hum along.

my mom & i don't really have similar interests, just about everything i like she criticizes and says it sounds dumb. she kinda thinks Green Day are ok, but she doesn't necessarily like them.

My dad likes....i don't really know what he likes, but definitely not Green Day.

And my brother likes rap/hip-hop.

they both like Afghan music, which i mostly hate...i only like a couple of songs. Neither of them really acknowledge Green Day or any popular rock bands nowadays. They know Nsync though, lol..

My mum is a big Rolling Stones fan. And she has a lot of LP's with Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath also I think. So she likes rock, and blues. And she also likes pop, I guess. You know, the catchy tunes they play on the radio.

My dad likes the Beach Boys. And the Bee Gee's. So my mum's taste in music is definitely better. But none of them really like punk. Mum thinks GD are OK, though.
