Parents' Music Interests , do they like Green Day?

My parents like mostly classic rock, which is fine with me. My mom likes The Beatles alot, and she also likes Yes. My Dad's favorites are Pearl Jam, The Police and haha Ozzy. They don't mind Green Day, but it's not their favorites. My mom likes them more than my dad.

Just anything that you play a lot that you love and they just end up singing to it.

Its annoying especially if they don't know the words and mummble over it

My dad's into The Who, and a lot of jazz stuffs but he doesnt mind Green Day,Nirvana etc hes so awesome...

My mom, um idk she isnt really into music that much i guess. But when some rap songs come on the radio she starts dancing and youre like..um no...stop..

My moms cool about it..she takes me and my friends to concerts and lets me listen to it in the car, and she says she likes Green Day. My dad hates it all.

My music taste and my Dad's music taste are much different. We both like Green Day, I'll get that out of the way. My favorite music genre is punk, and my dad, on the other hand, is more of a jazz and blues rock person. The only punk bands he likes are Green Day, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, and I took him to Warped Tour a few days ago, and he told me tht he enjoyed seeing The Living End and Rise Against.

But my father really got me into good music. When I was a stupid kid, I liked hip hop and pop, and despised rock. Thank God, my Dad changed that for good. He forced me to listen to Led Zeppelin, and everything changed from there.

Thank God, yes, me and my 13 yr old have the same taste in music! Me...I have Green Day on constantly, she has GD, Fall Out Boy, MCR, Panic at the Disco etc.

I've also turned her on to a lot of other music, Metallica, Korn, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Doors, Jimi Hendrix....so I'm QUITE happy there's no rap in my house!!

my dad mainly like stuff like the rolling stones, the beatles, queen, david bowie, black sabbath..etc.

and my mom likes abba(for real, it's bad) and some dutch singers

but they don't mind gd really, my mom told me she liked blv of broken dreams a few days ago.

and one time i made her pic her fave from GD, cuz i was bored, and blv was on(like always back then), and she picked Tre ''cuz the others all have dyed hair'', after seeing a certain part of bullet in a bible she changed her mind though and decided that he's scary *cough*

my dad's kind of cool sometimes, not so long ago he was singing God Save The Queen, it was brilliant.

Lucky you, thats kind of like my mom, but shes grown kinda annoyed of Green Day.

Hahah, my mum the other day was really funny. She was singing along to Green Day and she didn't know the words, so she'd go "Sometimes I give myself... (pauses mid song)... tricks on me" she just kind of tuned in and out of the lyrics. And also she said "Annie, burn me all the Green Day albums." So I said "Why?!" and she said "I want to put them on my MP3 player."

"Mum, your MP3 player only holds 5 albums. You bought it for £30. It's a piece of crap."

my mom likes alot of the same music that i do, especially green day. she's in love with billie joe, which scares me a little bit....but other than that its pretty nice to have a parent that likes the same music as me

My dad got me into alot of the music I listen to. Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan are only about 1/8 of what he introduced me to. But he holds the same opinion of Green Day as John Lydon, so he gets quite annoyed with me when I play their music loud.

My mom likes John Denver... and that's all I know of that she likes. My dad likes The Eagles and other 70's/80's rock bands. They both like a few songs by Green Day, but wouldn't listen to them. They only listen to them when I am.
