xdearly_belovedx Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 since 97 when Good Riddance was everywhere, my brother (17 now) got pretty into them, and bought dookie, insomniac, & nimrod... i was about 5 & i remember seeing him buy it and i'd always sit outside his room to listen when he was playing his cd's and i'd always steal them when he wasn't looking. but anyways- i didnt get real into the until international superhits, and then became completely obsessed around october 2004... and that's when i realized that i had nimrod & dookie sitting in front of me for about 8 years
she screams in silence. Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Whenever Boulivard Of Broken Dreams was playing on the radio constantly. I really fell in love with them when i heard all their older songs though.
katie Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I started listening to them when i was 4but i really got into them a few years ago..
LamBCHoP Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 iv liked them since dookie, but i really got into them when nimrod came out
brain_stew Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 about five years. before that i had heard their stuff but couldn't really call myself a fan.five years ago i bought nimrod by accident (i've told the story somewhere before) and since then i've become a bigger fan all the time.then the rest of the albums followed. i was very surprised to hear "when i come around" and "basket case" on dookie, because i had heard them before way back and i had always thought that they were Blink182's shame on me.
*withoutadoubt* Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I really didn't consider myself a 'fan' until after American Idiot came out. And it's thanks to my daughter - she asked for it. Now, we have and share all of their cds.
nimrod8 Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 the first time i heared Green Day was in pre-school. we had this really cool teacher that always listened to the radio and green day was always on. i loved it. but, i didn't really know it was green day. i would hear it on the radio and listen to those "now ...." cd's. it was really neat watching "Ultimate Albums: Dookie" and saying "I loved that! I know that song!"
Kleptomaniac Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I wouldn't call myself a FAN until about 2004 but I heard of them ever since Longview was playing on mtv.(cant remember if I posted here or not)
Dai. Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Whenever Boulivard Of Broken Dreams was playing on the radio constantly. I really fell in love with them when i heard all their older songs though.me too....
GDLuvr Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I started getting into Green Day about when Warning came out, i loved Minority.
st.jenny Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 ill confess im really new to green day. all my life i knew the song good ridance and i loved it, but since i really wasnt to into music, i didnt bother to know who sang it or anything like that. then in november last year i heard my first song, (while knowing it was green day) holiday and ive been horribly obsessed since.
I walk alone Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I think I have probably been a green day fan for the least amount of time: 5 months. But before that I didn't really like music and stuff that much.... so yeah..
