Good Riddance was the first Green Day song I had ever heard, but I had no clue it was Green Day, so then it was American Idiot. I heard Canadian Idiot ("Weird Al") and I looked up American Idiot after that and so the obsession began ;)

The first song i heard from green day was boulevard of broken dreams. i remember i was in the car with my family and it came on the radio and i loved it so much but i had no clue what the song was because i was 8  then a few weeks later a few kids at school were singing american idiot and i didn't believe that was a song so i looked it up and ended it finding the rest of the AI album and fell in love

after a while i didn't really listen to them anymore but about a year ago i ended up buy green day rock band and I fell in love with all of their songs

it was warning i was watching Sony back in 2001, and they used to put music videos like hits and while on commercials it started the video that made me fan which was Warning and thats the beginning of my story as a fan of green day :)

My first Green Day song was American Idiot when I saw the music video to it on MTV. It totally blew me away because I never heard that fast and "agressive" music which was fun at the same time before (I was 8-9 years old then, btw :D). So I bought the American Idiot album (which was also the very first album I ever bought) and thus I became a Green Day fan for life.

Holiday! Hell yeah! haha

The song that got me interested was Holiday. My Dad's friend gave him a CD with a lot of songs on it and that was one of them. I looked it up on YouTube and five hours later I was listening to Christie Road.

The first green day song I can remember hearing is basket case but I was too young to properly like music then. Then I remember hearing bobd on loads of machinima videos and I was like.... Omg that song is so awesome! Then I downloaded a bunch of random songs off American idiot (jos and holiday) and put them on a disc alongside a bunch of songs by other artists. Jos kinda went over my head back then but it is now one of my favourite songs and one of the best songs ever written. Holiday however got me interested. In 2008 I bought American idiot and I lay in the spare room with an epic milkshake and listened... And then I listened again right after and again once more. That is how my green day obsession started. Just wish that I had gotten into it before the ai era. :/

welcome to paradise, I heard it on the radio when I was like 7 (i think lol) ,and have basically been interested in them ever since.

Holiday was the first song of theirs I was in love with, heard it when it came out as a single. Fast forward to 2008, I finally bought American Idiot and that's when my life slowly but surely starting revolving around Green Day, lol.

The singles from American Idiot were always playing on the radio American Idiot, Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams, eventually I got the CD, but by then it was 2005 or 6. I slowly started liking it more and more.

Then 2008, they announce the new album so I start listening to they're old stuff and thats really what got me into them.

Then when 21CB came out I wanted to listen to the full album and they became my favorite band by the time the 2nd track was over :)

My first song was WMUWSE but I fell in love with them either with Holiday or Waiting can't remember now.

I probably heard a bunch of Green Day songs before that I don't remember but the first one I liked was 21 Guns. I remember being in 5th grade and this kid was gonna play it on the piano at school. I remember listening to him practice and I fell in love with the song then i went home and listened to the song all night. Then I just forgot about it and I remember hearing another song that reminded me about 21 Guns so I started listening to it again and heard all of their other songs and loved them too so now I love Green Day and they have inspired me to do many things like play guitar. I love Green Day!

I remember the first time I heard GD was on New Year Eve (2004 turning into 2005), I was at a friend's house and an advert appeared "Do you know the new from Green Day?" and then part of the American Idiot video...I remeber I though "hey, this is cool" but it wasn't until 2006 when I became a real fan...I was on a friends house, listening to youtube songs and then she told me that I should listen to a group that was amazing...so we started watchin "Bullet in a bible" vids...but it wasn't until I heard "Only of you" that I really became a Green Day junkie :)

I knew green day before i became a fan for a while. i knew wake me up when september ends and the stuff everyone knows :) i liked them, and then they played a concert in my hometown, so i thought, why don't go there? i listened to more songs before the concert, but then, when i saw them on satge, i was totally fascinated :D i still remember minority very good, and that was the song that was my favorite for a long time after the concert, so i count that as the song, that made me fan :D

there wasn't really one song that made me like them. my sister loved them since american idiot, so i was always hearing them (especialy because my sister adn i share a room) the thing that made me fall in love with them was the concert. the first concert i ever attended was 9/14/09 at the palace in detroit. it was literally the most amazing thing i had ever seen in my life. immediately after, i decided i had to find out everything i could about them, and i started listenting to all their music. after that there was no going back they will forever be a huge part of my life

The first Green Day song I heard was probably Good Riddance or When I Come Around. I don't really remember, because my dad played Green Day for me when I was a toddler :P

I was only 7 when American Idiot came out and remember liking the songs from it. Everythng REALLY started when I heard Know Your Enemy. I loved the song immediately and wanted to hear more. Then I heard 21 Guns and I knew that I was gonna be loving this band for a very long time. I then started listenng to more of their music, like Dookie and 39/Smooth era. Everything really should be owed to KYE I think.

Boulvard of Broken Dreams and Wake Me Up When September Ends. When i was 7 ish and in 2nd grade i got an MP3 player (remember the days of MP3...) and it had 2 Green Day songs on it. Boulvard of Broken Dreams and Wake Me Up When September Ends. I hated all the other songs on it, and i remember specifically having Umbrella by Rihanna... Blehh... Anyways, so after awhile of just kinda forgetting about Green Day, my brother got Green Day Rock band in like the early 2010 or something. He played Boulvard of Broken Dreams and I stopped in my tracks. I realized that was them! The song i hadnt heard in forever! After that day I love Green Day, and are obsessed with Billie thats my story

Burnout', totally! I was almost 9 years old I think, cause I can remember it was 2004... I had no idea of who Green Day were, I hadn't even ever heard about them.So I found a copy of Dookie in my cousin's room, so I started listening to it 'cause the picture on the cover was so freaking funny so I was curious... and it was love at first listening <3

Basket Case was the first one I heard. I was in elementary school when Dookie came out, and sometimes in music class we had this "top 10" thing where we brought cd's, played 10 songs and then voted for the one we liked best. I always voted for Basket Case, of course :)

Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, heard it when I was watching a fan vid of Naruto (and I am still obsessed with that show), I didn't know the name of that song, I only knew it as 'Ahh, Ahh' I was pretty stupid back then! lol. But that's the song that got me obsessed with GD :)
