Good Riddance was the first song I heard by them. I became a huge fan after I heard American Idiot though.

I had heard of them before, but I didn't particularly care for what I'd heard of them on the radio. She let me borrow her International Superhits! CD and that is the CD I fell in love with Green Day to... Then came American Idiot. Nimrod... And gradually all albums except 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours (sp?) and Kerplunk...

I heard Basketcase first but I got into The Clash first and then one day while downloading The Clash songs of the net (I'm so not breaking any laws) found Green Days version of I fought the law and I just thought "wow I need more from this band"
