first song i heard from Green Day was When I Come Around. i really got into them when i saw American Idiot on tv.

The first song I heard was some song off of Dookie; my brother played the album non-stop for months after he got it, but considering I was only four years old, I didn't really know what I was listening to.

The first song that made me a fan was Minority; I had heard Good Riddance when it had taken over the world a couple years before, and although I liked the song, it didn't make me a fan. It wasn't until I heard Minority on the radio, and then later saw Waiting on MTV, that I really started to take in interest in the band. My brother gave me his old copy of Dookie... which I then preceded to listen to all the time.

The first song that made me obsessed was Boulevard of Broken Dreams; although I was already a fan, hearing Boulevard on the radio was the start of my super-fanisim. I bought and fell in love with American Idiot, which caused me to fell in love with Dookie all over again. I bought all of their older albums within the span of a year, I researched everything about the band that I could, and the rest is history...

Hey, the first Green Day song I heard was Basketcase but it wasn't being sung by Green Day - it was being sung by Avril Lavigne (on her My World DVD).

The first Green Day song I heard that was being sung by Green Day was either Boulevard of broken dreams or American Idiot. Though, the first time I heard Boulevard of broken dreams, I thought it was Nickelback (how stupid can you get!) until the guy on the radio said it was Green Day.
