the first song i REMEMBER hearing was good riddance, when i was 5 or 6

of course i didnt know it was green day but i loved that song

i probably heard way more before that, but when dookie came out i was only 2

i actually didnt realize that was green day until a while after i started liking them

i really got into them when american idiot came out (i hate being a "new" fan )

for a while i would hear these random green day songs and remember them from when i was little :/

like basketcase or even paper lanterns i was really confused cuz the album came out a year before i was born but whatever

I had heard Basket Case, Good Riddance and Minority before, I just didn't know it was by them. haha.

Basket Case for sure. I was in grade 6, sitting on the school bus and two guys were singing it. I bought Dookie after school that day.

I was 4 when dookie came out so I didn't know then what they wore or anything, but when I was like 11 or something I heard it again from a friend and I fuckin loved it! (still do!) so I went out and bought Dookie!

I only bought the CD because the store didn't have the one that I wanted. I had never listened to GD before, so when I got home and the music started to flow out of the speakers, I was like: "This sucks". But I felt like I had to listen to the whole CD, I mean, I payed a lot of money for it. But in the end I was sitting, or lying or whatever, on the floor with this insanely good feeling. And I was like. Woooooooow! I've never heard anything like this before! Cool!

But then again, my big brother have said that he made me listen to Dookie when I was 3.. But again: I didn't like it. So I can't brag about being a fan since I was 3 or 2.
