I believe the first song i ever heard was Good Riddance at my brothers Elementry school graduation in 1997, i was 7 years old. After that it was Minority and Warning but i didnt know who they were at the time(for some reason i was really into pop music) Then it was American Idiot that got me to notice them in a big way, and i was hooked

Basket Case, but it wasn't Green Day singing it, it was some little kids - my magic Green Day moment.

Shortly afterwards, I heard GD do a live show on radio from somewhere or other, and I was totally blown away by them, even though I could hardly understand a word Billie was singing - y'know when he gets carried away and slings the words round his mouth like chewing-gum? It was 'Minority' - all I was getting was 'Awannabe ammannorrradee!', much like 'sodapopariddalin' on 'Jesus' - but it was his performance and his way with the audience that fucking leapt of the radio - that and the shit-hotness of the band live. I'll never forget it - then, the fucking words !
