NC_Idiot Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 i really could care less how they look, as long as they are still making good music.
Amanda Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Ok, someone has bumped the existing topic so I guess I should merge these now
Adine Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I know, I know..But I don't miss it too much.. They have differend style in every album and thats good.. But every album have its own feeling.. I love their old music and I love their music.. and all between the first and newiest albun:)The sound in Warning was something I loved most I quess.. and it's not bad if even one of the songs in next album will sound like that.
freak Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 It's all Green Day to me. I love the old stuff and the new stuff. The end.Green Day is Green Day anyway, and time can't change that. i love tham anytime and i bet i will
Echo117 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 All their music rocks, but I'm more of a fan of their older music.
sick Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 the 'old' green day didn't go nowhere. Just listen to the cd's and hop into the time machine.i love music. i like old.. i like new.. green day, new old old new new old..
ANDROID Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I love their old music, especially everything on Kerplunk.
Twist Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 you guys wanna hear my oppinion! of course not! oh well. .. i dont think theres such thing as old and new green day. it's all the same people in the same band (exept tre).just a little different sound and look. i listen to old AND new green day. i hate people who think they're hardcore fans because they listen to dookie over and over. to me there is no such thing as "selling out". it's just trying something new. there has been old and new green day since dookie came out. i think it's a load of shit for people to bash a good band for something so stupid...
GreenDay-Idiot Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 mmmm I like both styles....AI is a little too much but it's alrightI miss watching them live with casual clothes though
heyhowudoin Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 green day's green day no matter how you look at it..yea they have changed but good music is good music theres no changing it
punkrockergirl83 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 i can understand where u are coming from, but either way, new or old green day is good. if i had to choose... i would definetly pick green day's older music.
VictimOfAuthority Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 green day's green day no matter how you look at it..yea they have changed but good music is good music theres no changing itI agree!

whatevergirl1 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 It's kinda weird because there are some things I like about the "New" Green Day, like faster songs & it's catchier & louder than some of their older songs....but they really do seem soo manufactured now, compared to before. I mean, it's like BJ, Mike & Tre are becoming (if not already) just like every other pop/rock artist or whatever. They have to look/sound a certain way now, or else they might lose a lot of fans...Or maybe that's just the teenies...Well, i prefer "Old School" Green Day over the new stuff, but I don't really think they sold out either... :/
Kat-Meow Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 i only like them for their music, but i hear a lot of shit about them because of the eyeliner... "they're goth!" "they're emo"... they're fucking rock assholes but if i wouldn't have known it was green day when the music video for american idiot came out i would've assumed that it was just another stupid band... i was shocked when i saw it was THEM and they weren't THEMSELVES!... i still love them, but it looks like they're following the crowd now
sweethang618 Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 um I think AI was too trendy..I also love how the recording was cheaper in the first albums and they did it really fast and crappy.. AI is too polished..and billie is a perfectionist so they prolly spent 5 fucking years making it perfect which i dont like...but you guys are right green day is green day end of story...
Crash Skittlesen Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 I have to say the Old Stuff, the new thing is ok but too....serious? and political, im not much for politics so maybe thats the reason i like the old stuff better, i dont know, anyway yeah the old stuff is better.
freak Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 well, i can't appoit so big difference, the same energy, anyway.
iluvgdlikecrazy Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 they were good back then but their still good now...they just matured...it happens to everyone
