axia Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I like the new Green Day better. AI made me a fan so it's an easy question to chosesame here. I mean AI made me a fan. But now I'm more listen to the old ones. Even I don't have any song from AI on mp4... gotta change it
liquid_fumes Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I couldn't explain it any better than you did, but I know exactly what you mean. I think its just AI that did this though. I wish they were around the Kerplunk or Dookie era, but think about Warning. That was a great time too. I think AI has changed too much. Thier liked by people who arn't even fans, theyv'e just "heard that song boulevard of broken dreams" a couple of times. I think it unintentially opened up to far too many new people and changed them too much. I don't like the way they dress anymore. I don't like all the black and the eyeliner, I miss the converse and baseball t's.
mr.fender Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 there are things i like at the old and the new green day, so i prefere both
crazychic Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 i love both the old and the new i love the old green day for being edgier and raw and i love the new Green Day for being a brave and shouting out to the world about Bush and doing new things
SwingSwing87 Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 I like the old AND new Green Day, to me it's the same. good old kickass punk rock!but nothing beats popping in warning, International Superhits or Dookie and hearing the songs I used to hear when I was 7 or 8 years old! I remember the video to good Riddance, and it's still fresh to me. just as fresh as Jesus of Suburbia or holiday.
xthe Grouchx Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 It's all the same Green Day.They grew up and so did their music. Sure, there's stuff I miss but they do lots of other stuff to make up for it.I would say I like the old music and their old image better, but what can you do?
kelsy0058 Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 old green day. i can't stand the new stuff.
likeahandgrenade Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 insomniac's probably my favorite album... but nimrod's a close second
Slappypunk Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 i dunno if i'm weird or whatnot, but i really miss the old green day! i mean, of course it's not like they completely changed they just matured, as well as their voices. it's just i miss how they were at that "20ish year olds" age when they were "bratty" and how they sounded back then! i downloaded clips of vh1 behind the music awhile back and when they showed old pics of the band and played songs from 1039 Smooth.....playing in the background, i just really miss it! it's just that whols vibe, ya know? who knows what i'm talking about?????totally know what you mean
GreenDayFreak11 Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Yeah..I like their new stuff..but i tend to listen to stuff from Dookieand International superhits more
LetterBomb) Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Oh manAALLLLLL Green Day kicks assfer sherthe old stuff has its kool like own little vibe going& the new stuff has like acctually meaning & stuffi donno Green Day is just like ...whoa
nathan13 Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Green Day were best from 1997 to 2002 i think now they should kind of head back to the older more simpler kind of music like their old kinda stuff.. if that makes sense :/
sydneygirl Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 I love the old, the new and in-between Green Day. I think Green Day were great in all eras. I love them back when they were sweet and innocent (first two albums), and then cheeky and amazing during Dookie and more hardened and writing mind-blowing music through Insomniac and Nimrod. Through Warning and up to American Idiot, I so admire their ability to produce timeless songs that no matter when they would be released they would be classics. So for me, I'm looking forward to the new album and I would bet my life on it being yet another superior quality album that will be as good as all of their previous albums. For me, no other band has kept up the quality of their music throughout their careers as well as Green Day.
Kidy Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 i miss the old green daythe same, but the new Green Day looks not so bad too!

Queen For A Day Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 I like all the eras of Green Day.I think their music has changed so much throughout the years, and yet they still have that undefinable sound that makes them Green Day.No matter what they do, I'll always like every era!!
Kidy Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 No matter what they do, I'll always like every era!ecaxactly!! +1!))))
