Me and my friend was walking around the arenaa when we met Green Day's crew who told us that Green Day are in town. So we called Peter (yes, peter at gdc) who picked us up with his car and we went to a great hotel in Stockholm in hope to meet green day.

One minute after walking out of the car Tré Cool came out of the hotel with a small bike. He didn't want to sign something or take any pictures with us, but we said hello and talked for like one minute before he went off on his bike. When I first saw him I thought I should die. And after maybe ten minutes Mike walked out of the hotel with his family and said that "no signing, it's family time" then a guy put a camera in his face and took a picture of him and Brixon and that resulted with mike screaming " NOO " and giving him the middle finger, haha.

Ten minutes later the greatest thing happened. We stood outside the hotel waiting for Billie when I saw a small guy walk like 200 meters away, and I screamed " Omg, it's Billie" and Peter and my friend was like " nooo, it isn't" , and I screamed " yes, I promise" and we ran like 100 meters before slowing down to not act so bad, haha. Then we saw billie walk straight in our direction and my heart beated just so fast. While meeting billie I said something like "thank you for saving my life" and he smiled at me and shooke my hand. Then a car was just so close hit me down and Billie put his arm over me and said like "wooah, watch out for the cars" and he saved my life, once again heheh. After a few minutes of talking and signing he went into the hotel and I sat down on the ground, crying. It was so sick.

And not only, they day after Billie brought me onstage to sing Longview with them. I mean, it have been my dream since 6 years and I can't describe the feeling. Looking out of 13.500 people with Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt om my back, seeing them smile to me as my friends jumps up and down screaming my name. It was so awesome. Can't describe the feeling.

Billie gave me a hug onstage and I have told him how much I love him and that he saved my life, so sick

Never in my life I thought I'd post in this thread.

On October 9th I went to my first Green Day concert. Best gig and best night of my life.

I was on the first row, left side of the catwalk. Great spot, and the gig was absolutely FUCKING AMAZING.

Then "Are We The Waiting" came. This song has a very strong meaning to me. It's like the soundtrack for all the years I dreamt about seeing my favourite band play live for the first time. And now, there I was, watching them, having the time of my life, and singing as loud as I could.

So, Billie comes to the catwalk again, singing, looks at me, points at my sign ("Hey Tré! I come from Portugal. Give me a drumstick!" ), and makes that gesture with his finger as someone who's reading... then his hand gesture changes to a "come here" gesture!!! I pointed at myself and yelled "Me? ME?" I was in complete shock and I couldn't believe it was really ME who he called onstage. He was singing all this time and as security was pulling me from the crowd, he yelled "COME ON!"

Security sat me on the catwalk, I got up, Billie came to me and I gave him a very tight hug and he hugged back. It was the best moment of my life. I said "THANK YOU" during the hug. He was very sweet and his arm was always around me while on stage. I tried to take a photo of us with my camera, so Billie took the camera from my hand and HE took us the picture with my camera!!! We sung a bit of the Are We The Waiting chorus together, it was absolutely brilliant. He was always smiling at me. Then Billie had to go back to the main stage, as St. Jimmy was about to start, so last thing I told him was "I LOVE YOU" to which he replied with that amazing smile of his. Next thing I knew, security were rushing me to get off the catwalk, I grabbed my bag and sign from the front row and had to go to the middle of the crowd. I was so dazzled and immensely happy that the next two songs (St. Jimmy and BOBD) remain a blurr in my head. I was just thinking "Did this just happen?"

The rest of the concert was absolutely amazing, everything was fantastic and I had a great time even though the view wasn't so good (I'm quite short compared to most people from Scandinavia ).

After the gig I met Mike and Jason Freese.

First it was Jason. He was so patient and lovely, signing everything everyone handed to him. I talked to him about how awesome he is in all the instruments he plays and he smiled brightly and said thank you. Then I said "I hope you will come to Portugal again next year!" and he replied "Definitely! We loved Portugal!" We talked a bit more, took a photo and then he had to go. Such a nice guy, I loved meeting him.

Then Mike came out!! There weren't so many people there, which was good. He autographed my ticket too and we talked a bit.

Me: "Thank you for the show, it was the best of my life."

(other people also thanked him and he was very glad we enjoyed the show and said he had a great time too)

Me: "You're the best bass player since John Entwistle."

Mike (makes a proud/shy expression): "Awwww, thank you."

Guy who was also asking for autograph: "Who is that?"

Mike (with a funny tone in his voice of someone who's saying something as elementar as 2+2=4): "John Entwistle..."

Mike and me: "...from The Who"

Mike: "I met John once."

Me: "Aww, really?"

Mike: "Yeah. He was a very salty man."

Then other people started talking about other things and asking him to take photos and security said they had to go and rushed Mike to go to the bus, so he apologized to us and went to the bus. I didn't get to take a photo but I felt very special to talk to him about something we both love, that no one else there cared about.

Best night of my life. Enough said.
