barely remember what the dude looks like since i was paying more attention on green day than on him. he wasn't extremely old though, maybe late 30s.

he asked me for my phone number DURING the show and i kept ignoring him.

Before the show when I was walking around the casino waiting to meet up with Beth an actual olddd businessy-type man asked me to go on a date with him that night at some fancy restaurant with his friends and i was like "noooo thanks!!!!!"

never go to a Green Day show in Vegas. That's basically what I learned.

^ I know it's actually not funny and you're quite serious right now but there's something in the way you post that usually makes me laugh, in a good way of course :P

^holy shit i used to live in vegas too!! not for long though because i really hate it there. I rarely get hit on by creepy old men anywhere else but vegas and if it weren't for Beth scrounging up the extra ticket for me I would have avoided it. still worth it though!

I used to live in Vegas also, but since I moved away before I hit double digits, I was safe from creepy old men hitting on me. But, that sort of thing happens all the time in idaHo....it's just redneck old men who are hitting on you. Creepy all the same.

But it's gonna be so weird cause I have one day to recover from my (amazin) Green Day show, then I go on holiday down south for xmas. For the whole car/boat ride everyone in the car is just gonna be hearing about every single detail of that show. ahhhhhh. I've been waiting SO fucking long for this, Like when 21stCB came out I just got all excited about them doing a world tour, even when they just had american tour dates. : DDD

[/ramblings]

Haha, yeah! When they played the first show in Seattle, I was spazzing out in the Seattle thread. Getting all the Twitter updates/photos/videos, etc. was so amazing. After not touring as Green Day forever, it was great to see them on stage again. And hearing how great the show was and everything made me excited, because my show was 10 days away at that point. So, of course getting such rave reviews, stories, etc. got me even MORE excited!

Oh, you'll have a blast telling people about it. I still ramble about my concert all the time. I bring it up whenever I can. It was the best day of my life, so I always want to talk about it. And I'm sure you'll enjoy the show, and have a great time telling people about it - specifically us in this thread! :)

Yes he did. He kept throwing them at me and security were assholes and would catch and pocket them so no fans got any, so after the show he handed it to some guy and told him to give it to me and then watched my reaction. It was the best moment of my life.

But why were security guards taking them in the first place? But that's cute that he gave it to you at the end. I would've ran to the dude and bear hugged him.

one of the security guards at the Vegas show bribed me by saying he'd give me a billie pick that fell on the ground if i'd go out with him

Dude, I would have played that one up. Just take the pick and give him a fake phone number -- this is precisely why I have the KKK hotline number memorized.

And you guys talking about how surreal it is to have them acknowledge your existance reminds me of the 2005 concert I went to. My mom didn't get off work until about 1, but everyone was at my house bouncing off the walls by 1030. To try and chill out we put on Wanye's World. At the part where they meet Alice Cooper my best friend and I decided that we were going to do that come hell or high water to one of the guys at the concert. Fast forward to me standing front row in complete awe of Mike durring a quite part. My best friend and I started shouting "Mike, we're not worthy! We're not worthy! We're scum," and bowing like in the movie. Mike laughed and in front of us quickly became his favorite spot for the night.

Fast forward a bit later and I'm still front row, watching Billie when I notice someone is standing over me. I looked up and there's Mike, looking down right at me and smiling. I don't know how to decsribe it without sounding really lame... but it was a kind of affectionate smile. Like he knew where we were coming from and what this ment to us. I didn't know what to do, so I just grinned stupidly back until he had to move again.

Some kids have high school glory stories of scorring the winning touchdown or making an A in their AP classes. Mine is Mike Dirnt smiling at me.

I constantly daydream about singing Longview. And having hug sex with all of them.

Next US leg, I'm getting up on that damn stage.

I'll get on there no matter what.

I'd love to be on stage, just once.

and then pass out xD

I have a feeling i'll trip.

I have a feeling I'd pass out too. Or make a complete fool out of myself. I'd probably fuck up the lyrics too. But I'd make it work...somehow.
