Radioactive1 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Oh god, when I see any of them. I think I'll just be like "holy fucking shit you're actually real" I probably will be too amazed to scream or anything. And those who get pulled up how do you get back down? Do you stage drive? or just climb back down?
Minority_GD Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 You're welcome. Yeah, I felt the same way. Well, I never got onstage, but I felt like that in the crowd. I mean, when they first came out, I was going apeshit. When Billie ran down the cat walk and was right fucking there, I was with my friend and I was like, "THERE'S BILLIE. BILLIE BILLIE BILLIE OMG BILLIE YOU'RE REAL." But halfway through, he was just...Billie. And I wasn't freaking out anymore. He just felt like a normal guy. When he would run over, I would just grin at him and wave, and he waved back once and would smile. But after I exploded with amazement and got that out of my system, they were all just normal guys. Normal guys that I love very much. That's exactly how I felt.I still feel this way.I still love them - for making making the music I love.
Mrs. Nobody Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Lol thats how i feel at any gig.. its weird, almost sad. I was a fookin huge gallows fan, and yet when they came out.. they were just them dudes, even when I helped the singer back on stage. Lol, but id rather that than fainting
Minority_GD Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 We should give this weird thing a name ....what about the"omfg you aren't that awesome ,but I still love you in a creepy way!"- syndrom
Sarahnade. Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Oh god, when I see any of them. I think I'll just be like "holy fucking shit you're actually real" I probably will be too amazed to scream or anything. And those who get pulled up how do you get back down? Do you stage drive? or just climb back down?Billie usually tells people to stage-dive back into the crowd. At my show, when this little kid came up to play JOS, afterwords Billie asked him if he wanted to try a stage-dive, and he said 'no.' Billie was like, "No? Well..you know what? You fucking kicked ass. Just go back and hang out with your fucking friends and have a great time." So he let the kid climb back down in the crowd instead of stage-diving, which I thought was really sweet. But, yeah, normally he'll have you stage-dive. People seem to be really good at catching the fans, and I've heard people say they even let them go back to their same spot.
Princess Consuela Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Oh god, when I see any of them. I think I'll just be like "holy fucking shit you're actually real" I probably will be too amazed to scream or anything.I was exaclty like that. When I first saw them on a soudcheck I was just staring at them, speechless, thinking 'wow, so they actually are people like us' I know it sounds stupid but it was really incredible. It will not be an overstatement if I say GD have different meaning for me after I saw them live I soo regret not requesting any song on the soundcheck but I was just too overwhelmed to think about that
Sarahnade. Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I'd probably die if I ever saw them at soundcheck. Oh, I wouldn't have a CLUE what to request. I'd be like, "UH. UH. UH. UM. PICKLES." I honestly didn't think I could love them anymore than I did, but after seeing them in concert, I loved them even more. Like, x a gazillion. The way Billie screamed and spit in my face, made eye contact with me and everyone around me, etc. It was mind blowing. When SOTC started playing, I honestly wanted to run away. I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there, haha. I had never seen Green Day live, and I had been a fan for 6 years. That's 6 years of me dreaming and hoping to see them live, and in one day it happened, and then it was gone. It felt like a dream. My concert was almost 3 months ago, but it felt like it never even happened. I have to look at photos and watch videos to remember it, and realize that it DID actually happen.I'm actually listening to the audio of my show right now. St. Jimmy. Billie goes, "OW! ...ARE YOU TALKIN' TO MEEEE!?"

His moves, facial expression, tattoos, the way he played the guitar... just everything. Everything that I knew so well from pictures and videos now I could see right there in front of me LIVE. I don't care if I sound creepy or childlish. It was the best fucking experiance in my life.

Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Talking about stagediving, I have the most stupid question ever. How do you stagedive? Like, you jump and turn around in mid-air so you end up on your back, or just just jump and hope people turn you over?
Katarina. Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Talking about stagediving, I have the most stupid question ever. How do you stagedive? Like, you jump and turn around in mid-air so you end up on your back, or just just jump and hope people turn you over? I've been thinking about that too xD I guess you just jump into the crowd hoping they'll catch you

Like, you jump and turn around in mid-air so you end up on your back, or just just jump and hope people turn you over? Gosh , that's what I asked myself after I stagedived.I still don't know how I did it.creepy
Nele Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I've been thinking about that too xD I guess you just jump into the crowd hoping they'll catch you i would try to turn around in the air if you are a girl.
Mrs. Nobody Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I'd probably die if I ever saw them at soundcheck. Oh, I wouldn't have a CLUE what to request. I'd be like, "UH. UH. UH. UM. PICKLES." win ahaIts going to be so weird for me, cause like when I joined this forum, GD was TEH obsession. I-d burst into tears when watching Biab, just wishin I could have seen them on the AI tour so much. Then i starting prefering other genres, and other bands, and eventually didn-t care about this band really. And now, just reading through this thread and everything, i can remember how i was.. i-m so pumped for the gig /ramblingonandonandon
Katarina. Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 i would try to turn around in the air if you are a girl. :wink:I think I know what you mean, good advice Btw, do you have to stagedive when you're on stage? Just wonderin'..
Maddy. Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I think I know what you mean, good advice Btw, do you have to stagedive when you're on stage? Just wonderin'..Probably, because Billie always tells people to jump. XD (In every youtube vid I've seen)And yeah, I'd probably turn around as well. Don't want no-one touching mah va-jay-jay.
Princess Consuela Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Btw, do you have to stagedive when you're on stage? Just wonderin'..Out of like 6 or 7 people who were on stage in Berlin only one(or two) stagedived.
Isabel Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 But in Madrid's concert Billie pulled up a girl to sing longview and she sang "I'm feeling like a dog in heat" instead "Call me pathetic call me what you will" Billie apart her and said very funny "go out c'mon". So you can feel a little nervous. And in that song I remember that Billie wanted someone to sing and he came to our side and he asked to a girl and to me, Do you really now the song? For sure? And both say yes. But he decided to pulled up the girl that was in front of me. I think that this girl was the one who made the mistake, and I was all the time thinking, you had to pulled me up, I wouldn't made that mistake What do you mean? Did she get all flustered or something? I'm worried that I'll forget the lyrics if I get pulled up, but I will kick myself if I do, because I've known them so well for years
Nele Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I think I know what you mean, good advice Btw, do you have to stagedive when you're on stage? Just wonderin'..haha yeah. No I don't think so. You will probably do it anyway, because Billie will force you too it.
Katarina. Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Out of like 6 or 7 people who were on stage in Berlin only one(or two) stagedived. Thanks for the info I don't want to lose my place.. so I'd rather not stagedive if I had the opportunity. I'm afraid I'll fall on the floor anyway
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 i would try to turn around in the air if you are a girl. :wink:Yeah, I thought that too, but in every video I've seen someone stage diving, girl or boy, you always see them jumping like they'd land on their belly, but then for some reason a second later when you see them again they're on their backs
Nele Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Yeah, I thought that too, but in every video I've seen someone stage diving, girl or boy, you always see them jumping like they'd land on their belly, but then for some reason a second later when you see them again they're on their backs well, the girl who sang longview in hamburg came down kinda sidewards and the crowd turned her around a bit, so yeah it's not a very big problem.
Maddy. Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Thanks for the info I don't want to lose my place.. so I'd rather not stagedive if I had the opportunity. I'm afraid I'll fall on the floor anyway Like in Mean Girls XD
