Hugging Billie Joe was so warm and inviting.

I felt like a child with my arms wide open waiting to be picked up and hugged by mommy or daddy.

Except I was greeted by a smile and arms just as wide as mine waiting for my hug.

I remember seeing the smiles Mike and Billie shared while I was on stage, singing the words to longview, having the fucking greatest time of my life.

After I was done, I asked him if I could kiss Tre, atleast 4 times because he couldn't hear me.

But eventually he did and told me to go right ahead.

Tre must've been watching because when I turned around and walked up the stairs his lips were already puckered.

I leaned down, gave our silly drummer a quick kiss on the lips and turned around to see the crowds reaction, they all ofcourse cheered me on.

Then I turned around to smile at him, and he said "one more" and I kissed him again, and that was that.

For the rest of the show, I got so many smiles from Billie and Mike.

Easily the greatest day of my life.

I know I've told this story an endless amount of times, but it's a story worth telling over and over and over again.

I hope all GDC members get picked up on stage, the feeling when that man points to you and tells you to get your ass of stage is something I can not explain.

The only thing running through my mind was like holyfuck, get me on that stage because I am going to give this man such a fucking large hug.

Thankfully, I was not the least bit starstruck, but in awe that after all these fucking years of listening to these guys make me feel like nothing in this world could ever do me any harm, I was finally getting to be next to them.

I feel like that's where we all belong.

I thought that if I got called on stage I would forget the words, and like freeze up and lose my spot on the baricade.

But I got on stage, I remembered all the words and thought "fuck it, right now, I'm Billie Joe." so I took that as running around the stage like a fucking maniac.

I can't sing, I'm aware, but people loved my performance and let me get right back into my spot.

And Billie and Mike were totally happy to see me back in my spot.

I got back to my baricade spot and as soon as billie saw me and mike saw me they gave me a huge smile.

It's fucking great.

They're fucking great.

It's pretty much luck.

For me, it was luck, but Billie gave me a lot of attention that night.

He would always look at me and smile, even before he picked me.

I was placed with a bunch of fans that through them selves at Billie when he sang to my side, but he sang a lot to my side.

We always made eye contact, exchanged smiles, I sang to him, flipped him off during FOD.

He knew that I was a serious fan of them. I know that he knew, I'm not crazy.

Plus I guess it helped that I was wearing a highlighter coloured shirt that you could see even when we went lights out.

I was at that concert and I was on the other side of the XL center and that green shirt was un-missable...you were LIT UP. you truly stood out in the crowd. for sure you sang like sh#t but girl you sang your heart out and the happiness that was beaming and coming out of you was infectious. i think we all live thru the folks that get pulled up on stage. i experienced that thrill thru you.
