Jessica Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 hahah...the closest thing i've ever gotten to meeting green day was after the nashville concert in '05.hannah and i waited outside the venue for an hour or so after the concert and we met jason freese and got a picture with him...then we waited for the rest of them to come out and they never did....the closest thing we got to "meeting" the rest of the band was watching the tour bus roll by and seeing the back of billie's head in the window, hahaha.i WILL meet them when i see them in nashville this time... -_- l0l we're gunna be stalk3rz fo' rel.

I mean for meet and greets he has to be there, but especially at these VIP rooms, he always seems not to be present. Also, it seems that Mike is consistently nice and willing to talk, but Billie is hit and miss (with all he has going on it is forgivable).I think it just depends on his mood. I know that if I was exhausted and tired I honestly wouldn't want to go and meet screeching fangirls... The best thing to do is to just treat famous people as normal people, because that's what they are. When I've met a few famous people I just talk to them like I would with anyone and they seem to like that more.

Well that's what my brother told me..he's been to the Acer Arena and he said that he tried but failed miserabley, and he's usually pretty pro with these things..Does anyone else from Australia no if this is true?

Billie got right on the bus and didn't come out to see fans, but after all of the energy they put into the performance I'm surprised any of them came out. Mike was really nice (as everyone else has pointed out) and even took a picture (well 4, but that's another story ) with my friend and I. We also got our tickets signed, so we're probably going to print and frame the picture and put our tickets in the frame.I didn't ever think I would get to meet any of them, so Tuesday night was pretty much a dream come true for me.

A family friend's brother worked at one of their houses (she didn't remember who's) some time ago. She promised that if he ever works there again she'll tell him to get me an autograph or something.

He told us about what he does after shows and days off and offered tickets from tomorrows Montreal show. Totally the coolest dude. Billie passed by too and I had a quick talk about the nights show and requests.Tre ignored us when we said hi.P.s. They played Coming Clean, 2000 Light Years Away and Welcome to Paradise tonight!!!Mike gave us guitar pics too!!!

Harriet Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Mike seems really nice and lovely! You can't blame Billie for being a bit out of it, he puts a ridiculous amount of energy into every show after all.And I will meet Tre Cool one day regardless of whether he is in the shower or not...

How fabulous that you got to meet them!! I guess after a show it's inevitable that they'll be tired and it's a shame about that, but otherwise it must've been totally amazing, so glad for you!Now I need to work on my stalking plans for October What gig you going to in October?'cos I need to work on meeting them too.

I got to hug Billie when I went up on stage for Longview D:And at the Foxboro show in Phoenix, I poked Jason Freese's leg and waved to him and high fived Jason White cause the idiots standing in front of Libby and I were blocking the stage. I got my photo with Billie there, and got to speak each of the band members and get an autograph.You can see me from about 4:50 onwards (in my BIAB outfit!) and Billie Joe actually looks up at me at 4:58! - i was asking about when they were coming to tour in the UK...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzOn1uNR68EI think i was a bit annoying tho. I was just so excited and i was shouting out all the time while they filming. I even asked Billie Joe to "do the propoganda" and he kinda did, but it was awkward!Anyway, that was incredible, and i also got to speak to Billie Joe at the last FHTB tour show last year. He was really cool.

I've been thinking about which side of the stage to go to in Albany and MSG, I might do one side of each. I really want to be close to Mike's and Tré's baseline, but the next night it might be nice to go to the other side of the stage and give Jason some love. He's a great guitarist.

I've really had to stop talking about green day with my friends. they are getting freaked out by it.

Haha lucky for me I've been GD obsessed since 7th grade... so most of my current friends deal with it pretty well. Especially the one I took to the show on tuesday... she was definitely the best choice. Got me all my Dirnty photos ^_^

I'm going to the first O2 gig on Friday 23rd, so if you're going to that one I'll see you there, definitely gonna hang around afterwards just in case and I know I'm not the only one! And if not I have a feeling there will be plenty of other GDCers up for a bit of stalking at any of the UK gigs

When they came to NZ in 2005 they only went to Auckland. *sobbing*I'm gonna move to Oakland and get a job in a supermarket or something so I can "accidently" bump into themOMG I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its sucks here in NZ if you don't live in auckland! lucky i've got tickets for the show in decmeber! 5 MOTHS TO GO TODAY!!!!!!!! but it's going to be like a HUGE drive up there! and i hope i can get up on stage and my life will be complete.
