Back in November of 2005, I had the opportunity to go to the "Bullet in A Bible" premiere in Hollywood (I'm from Los Angeles).

I planned to get my parents to take me to the Cineramadome early in the morning on the day of the premiere to get in line for tickets (which didn't even go on sale till 2pm on the day of the premiere)

Remember, green day was going to be there, and only like 300 kids would get to go in, so it's understandable that I was just a little bit crazy when my parents dropped a bombshell on me:

they weren't letting me go.....

My parents insisted that I go to school.....ironically, however, in each of my classes at school that day, all we did was watch movies....

so I didn't get to go.....and no one else would drive me there.....so I was devistated

A couple of days after that, I went to my parents and asked why they had been so cruel.....I told them that it had been my only chance of ever getting close to green day and being apart of a major event in their history.........

My parents said they had no idea Green Day had actually attended the premiere....My parents claimed that if they had known Green Day was going to actually attend the premiere, then my parents would have let me go.

I was depressed and quite hostile to my parents for several months afterward and they even sent me to see professional therapy because they thought I was in such a state of depression...

But I wasn't really depressed so much as I was extremely furious with my parents and wanted to hurt them emotionally.

My parents now claim that for any concert that comes up they'll buy me whatever tickets I want...meaning the next time Green Day has a concert in LA, I plan on nabbing a couple first-row seats.....even if each ticket costs $100, my parents promised me....they owe me, so money is no object.

I still haven't forgiven my parents for what they did....I might never forgive them (sounds emo, I know...but you wouldn't forgive your parents either)

Ok.

Would you like us to call your parents or something?...

I dont know why people would put so much energy or emotion into wanting to meet them. I've never met them and am in no big rush to. I stood less than 3 feet away from Tre and didn't get to talk him, i wasn't devastated.

that's because you drained all the emo from you Andres

from watching too much porn of course

I have vivid dreams about meeting green day....does that count? :P

At my First Green Day Concert in LA... I drew a picture and Billie and he took it right out of my hand... And I made I sign that read "We Love You Mike" and he winked at me...

Also I met Mike at the premire of Live Freaky! Die Freaky!... He signed my Dookie CD with Ernie still on the back cover...

I loathe you now......life isn't fair.

I don't know why, but in my mind, having a pic of Billie and him taking it, would be better than actually meeting him.

This thread is made up of my fantasies... well not all of them. :shifty:

Well here's the whole story in detale...

I drew the picture of Green Day, and before the concert started I moved my way up to the the front of the cat-walk (the long walkway atacthed to the stage that Billie walks on). So after the concert started and they began playing either JOS or Are We The Waiting I bthink... (I don't really remember but I think Billie didn't have his Guitar then...) So I pulled out my picture, and Billie looked down and gave me a thumbs up and mouthed the words, "It's good." Then I pointed at the picture and pointed at him and mouthed the words "It's for you." So that's when he reached down and grabbed the picture from my hand, and then held it above his head as he walked back to the stage...

*AAAHHHHH!!!* I'm reliving it all over again in my head... I can't believe that happened... It all seems like a dream really, but I have the concert ticket to prove I was there...

I personaly think i had a HUGE chance if I really wanted to go through the trouble of getting arrested and crap. Me and my friend had this huge ass plan :shifty: then it turned out she couldnt go so that plan went to hell. But we promised each other to do it next time when they go on tour..hopefuly they'll come through here again though. The last time before their last tour was 6 years before

Parents just don't understand our love. I would probably do the same exact thing... I'd probably also cry in my room for 2 weeks and refuse to go to school.

Wow! I'm so jealous of everyone that's met them. Especially more than once! lol.

But for some odd reason i think that meeting them would sorta be a let down because...im not meaning to sound teeny or anything...but listening to their music/lyrics really makes me feel like i know them and if i ever met them and it was only them passing through a crowd and signing a book, it would sorta just feel like it wasn't what it was meant to be. If you get what I'm saying.

But if I had the chance to actually meet them properly and talk to them, it would be everything i could ever ask for.

That's just my opinion though.
