Thank you :) You sound like you've had many great experiences though! Oh and your vest looks pretty snazzy on Mike ;-P You never know though, you maybe one day have the crazy never-expected encounter, so don't think it wasn't meant for you to one day meet them and be able to say 'thank you.' :-D

I have had many many many great experiences. That's part of the reason I'm not too cut that I haven't met them, and that I don't feel it'll happen. At least not on this tour, with this album. Maybe in years to come. But for the moment I am so happy with what I have had

Awesome! I just wanted to make sure you knew you are one of the lucky ones too! Hahah, and I'm glad you cherish those moments so much. :-)

What an awesome way to be <3

I feel really similar. I'm really happy with all of the interaction that we had with them in June, and getting on stage. I would love to run into them somewhere though, to say thanks  but I'm not going to obsess over it. If it's meant to happen, it'll happen. And that's cool.

Am I the only the one that considers getting on stage meeting them? Like, hugging Billie, talking to him - that's meeting imo. It's not proper or anything, but..yeah. I'd much rather be on stage and have a moment like singing Longview and dancing with them like an idiot than anything else.

i consider it meeting them, even if there's no formal exchange of names or no handshake. i'd actually pick being on stage with them if i had to pick, just because it's been a long-time goal and i love them so much as performers. i would be so ecstatic though just to see them in regular day-to-day life, get a hug and tell them how much i love what they do.

Well at Lollapalooza, Billie looked at me and my sister alot and my sister blew him a kiss and he caught it and slapped it on his cheek! Mike saw us alot and gave a wink to my sister because of her glasses she wore. We both saw Adie and Joey looked at me!

IT WAS AWESOME! :runaround:

I got to meet Billie at the American Idiot Musical on the 13th. I tried to take a picture on my cell phone, but it came out SUPER blurry.

Ive just gotten smiles.

Only at the San diego show last year, I waiting an hour outside near the other buses, I saw billie walk out and I froze. I just screamed out "BILLIE!" and he waved.

The closest i've been to Green Day was in an arena in Melbourne. I was several kilometres away though. I would have been there if it wasn't my graduation night..

For me it was the same as Burnout, except the only reason I wasn't there was because of the ticket prices. But I did feel their presence

Oh oh oh!

I met Jason Freese in Toronto just outside the venue on the steps, in the middle of everything, a few hours before the show. He just walked up and started talking to us, and no one came over at all or anything. Had a nice good conversation with him about the insanity of Paris, the next CD, his family etc. Didn't get a picture though :(

Awwh :(

But then again, in my experience, the best conversations I have had with my favourite bands didn't involve me asking for a photo. :)

I've never met the band, but I've met Tre's dad. My husband's parents are good friends with him. Got free tickets and after show passes for me, my husband, and 2 friends for the Irvine concert.

Yay I can finally post in this thread! At the FHTs show in NYC we saw Mike go in and I was like "hey Mike" and he looked at us. Then after we saw Mike again and he told us a joke.

Then at the American Idiot musical opening night I met Adie, both Jasons and Jeff. Got autographs.

And now for the big one! Last week I MET BILLIE!!!!!! 5 TIMES! Sunday got an autograph. Wednesday saw him going in, had him say happy birthday to me on camera, and gave him a present after the show, and the following sunday got another autograph! You can pretty much say my life is complete. Tre is the only one I still have left to meet.

I'm sorry, but I absolutely had to revive this thread.

I met Billie Joe after his interview with Michael Mayer and Jordan Roth at 92Y on September 19th of this year...he was signing autographs after the interview ended and I was right on the barricade, it was so surreal. I was shaking a lot, but when he signed my playbill from the musical (I'd seen AI earlier in the day) I managed to thank him and he looked up, smiled, and said "You're welcome!" It was just a little gesture and I didn't really get to talk to him because he was just making the rounds, but it was such an amazing moment. I was on a high for days. Never in a million years did I think I'd meet someone from my favorite band!

But probably the best experience I've had was at the closing night of American Idiot...I'm a drummer and Tre has been my hero for around six years now and I've been trying really hard to meet him for the past two years or so...ugh, I don't even want to think of the amount of time/money I've spent! But anyway, I managed to get tickets for the final performance of AI on Broadway and myself and a friend decided to wait and see if we could at least catch a glimpse of Tre as he walked into the orchestra. I really didn't care about an autograph or a photo, I really just wanted to get the chance to say something to him. Well, after a little while (Eddie even let us stay in the hall to wait for him, which was so nice of him...) Tre and his girlfriend appeared around the corner and started walking toward us. My friend said hello to him and he was like "Hey what's up guys?" and I was just standing there like an idiot, completely frozen. But then right before he went in, I managed to call his name and when he stopped and turned around to look at me, I walked up to him and just said "Tre, I just wanted to say that I'm a drummer and you've been my hero for six years." He got this completely sweet look on his face, like he was honestly touched, and said "Awwh..." and after a second or two, he got this huge grin on his face and said "Make it seven!" and I just smiled so big at him, and he gave me this little nod and walked inside. I stood there in shock for a second, and then my friend came up and hugged me and was like 'Oh my god, you did it, you met him!" I just started crying because I couldn't believe it finally happened.

I'm still over the moon from closing night...I've heard that Tre is really hard to meet out of everyone in the band, so I just feel so lucky to have been able to talk to him and tell him that he's my hero and get a reaction like that.
