Isabel Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Aw, is there a video? The .gif won't load. Awh that's weird. I wonder why it won't load :/ It's just a .gif animation.
Rosie May Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I love reading this thread. It's cool that so many people on here have such good meomries of interaction with the band.
newsflash777 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Oh I got it to load! Awh<3 Oh my god, that made my heart jump! You're so lucky Isabel!
Kryssi. Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Awwh I didn't get much interaction with Tre when I was in the crowd. Except at the Halloween show in Manchester, during Minority and one of the "Hey! Hey!" moments, everyone was doing it at Billie Joe, but I looked over and Tre was looking in our direction so I did it at him instead, so he laughed. It was nice Nothing compared to Miss Kryssi though! Ach, I bet you did, you just weren't looking  I was looking at Tre almost the whole show at every date on the tour But who could blame me really. However, I was looking at the other guys, don't worry. Mike was always laughing and smiling at Jordan and I at each show 'cause of the fucking Snoo masks, but hey, we made those guys laugh. And I'm still stoked that Tre gave everyone who came out to the UK shows a shout out on that EMA interview
Psycho Britney Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I felt like a got some attention from Tre at the shows I went too, just because I paid attention to him and Mike aswell as Billie!! The person I went with told me he did keep looking over at us but I don't know if it's wishful thinking... I like to think I'm not a jealous person but I keep looking in this thread and turning green so looks like I am!
Minority_GD Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 maybe a dumb question but: Has anyone who was on stage or met Billie noticed that his voice sounds different when he talked to you? It's like his voice is darker and lower when he's speaking to the whole audience.. I can't really describe it , but wanted to know if I was the only one who felt so.
Isabel Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I was too dazed to notice such minor things I know there was talking involved...I know that much.
Minority_GD Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I was too dazed to notice such minor things I know there was talking involved...I know that much. Okay
Isabel Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Could you hear him talking through the microphone when you were up there? I definitely couldn't. I could only hear him when he talked in my ear

Billie's a woman, he just forgets to hide it sometimes.

Billie said once in an interview that he gets asked a lot why he sounds so different when he talks to an audience vs how he normally sounds. He said he doesn't really know why he does it, it's just this kinda angry-sounding live persona he has. Yay for angry Billie
Minority_GD Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Could you hear him talking through the microphone when you were up there? I definitely couldn't. I could only hear him when he talked in my ear I could understand him very well without mikrophone when he was talking to me. The whole audience was quiet, cause I had to prove if I could really play and they were all excited and didn't say a word They started screaming when he gave me the guitar. Lol @ angry Billie He didn't sound angry , his voice was just higher and.. argh I just can't describe it
Sarahnade. Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 ^Like, did he sound how he does in interviews? Because I always thought his talking voice was a little different than his singing voice, especially live.
Minority_GD Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 ^Like, did he sound how he does in interviews? Because I always thought his talking voice was a little different than his singing voice, especially live. sometimes he uses this voice in interviews, but mostly not. I think he doesn't even think about that, it just changes automatically. Like, my voice changes when I talk to adults, people I respect etc. and I can't control it^^
Isabel Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 ^Like, did he sound how he does in interviews? Because I always thought his talking voice was a little different than his singing voice, especially live. Oh yeah, he sounds totally different when he sings. The one thing I definitely noticed was that he had "the real BJ" voice when he said the word "stage dive" because he was asking a question and as he said those words, he raised his voice a bit so it was like "Ahh, there's Billie Joe." But there was no "y'know"
Juliette Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Yeah his stage voice is really shouty and angry. His normal voice is quite high I think lol. That was one of the things I liked at the show actually, all the rehearsed stuff that he says at every show he did in his "performing voice" whereas the things that were special to that concerts like jokes and audience interaction was in his normal voice
Kryssi. Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I remember when Billie did the little jump things he does during 21st Century Breakdown, and stopped, looked at me and was shouting at me to get my ass up on-stage, I thought he was saying it into the microphone, but he wasn't. It was only the people around me who could actually hear what the hell he was saying. I still actually can't remember word for word he said to me

Rosie May Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I find it weird who his talking voice sounded a lot lower when he was younger than it does now, shouldn't it go the othner way around?
Kryssi. Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Yeah, he was really dying to get you up there! What a stupid woman of him!
Isabel Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 What a stupid woman of him! Oh that Billie I find it weird who his talking voice sounded a lot lower when he was younger than it does now, shouldn't it go the othner way around? Yeah, if you listen those interviews, I think it's on the "Maximum Green Day" CD, it's around the Dookie era and his voice is SO low during one...I nearly thought it was Mike
